[SPOILERS] Cornflakes and Q Eat 'Em for Breakfast!

Sorry I've been inactive, WW is chewing up a lot of my time ATM.
Anyway that's awesome copper placing! (Oh and all these weird breakfasts you eat, I mean meatballs  ). A bit worried about 2metra tbh. Lets hope its settler to a wolf not a axe rush. How the heck does someone have 52 land tiles?!?

Don't worry too much about getting rushed. I counted the distance after we met and we're 12-13 tiles apart (down to 9-10 with the founding of our new city). Even if they are rival max at 13hpt and pumping out axes we'll be ok (they can't have more than one yet based on the power graph). In the time it will take them to build/march them across we'll have finished stonehenge getting a border pop for +20% defense and we'll have grown Doughnut back up to size 4 (meaning we'll be able to whip out 2 axes there in time) PLUS we'd be able to whip out and axe from Grand Slam. They'd need at least 5 axes to kill us and we'd be SURE to notice that on the power graph.
If we do see a power spike like that then we just send our warrior out along the bridge to the east so we have maybe 2 turns extra warning. EDIT: Jowy founded his 3rd city a turn after ours. He was also the first rival to 2 cities (about 2 turns after us). (February 7th, 2013, 04:57)Qgqqqqq Wrote: Sorry I've been inactive, WW is chewing up a lot of my time ATM. Don't worry, we've pretty much had things planned out through stonehenge and Porcupine settlement, this weekend I'll work out a general plan for the next 10-20 turns or so. Remember that our civ is the Random Empire (or did you not know that yet?). I want foods names that could be mistaken as just a random collection of things ... so I expanded the options from breakfasts to all foods.
TT planted what i think is just his second city the same turn we planted out third. 2metra just planted his second city at the end of last turn.
Didn't know that
Boy that sugar start has massively empowered our start.

Quick turn. Only thing of note is that "Hinduism was founded in a distant land" ... and TT now has the little blue Hindu icon next to his score (he's SPI so obviously revolted immediately). He just founded his second city too, and timed it well for a border pop.
Demos T49 ... Our power, from the graphs, is currently higher than both 2metra and Commodore (and we only have a single warrior) so I don't think we have to worry about a rush just yet.
Has buddha fallen?

I've been puzzling over that 52 land tiles for a while. Here's what we know: Rival max reached 52 T43, which means that it CANNOT be anyone who settled a city since then. I know that TT, 2metra, Jowy, and Commodore have all settled a city since then. This leaves Azza (CRE) and AT (not CRE) so it's pretty obviously Azza. Now how does this work? I tracked the score in detail until T39, so I know that Azza has 8 land tiles 1st ring and 11 2nd, for 21 total. He can get up to 16 for CRE 3rd ring. On T43 rival max jumped from 40->50, a 12pt increase coming 5 turns after he founded his second city. So Azza's second city must be completely inland, and it can't overlap with overlap with his capital's 3rd ring because land tiles increased by 12 with the border pop.
This might all be smoke in the breeze, but it's my best guess of the situation (EDIT: his second city is Zombie, so I can check my guess whenever we get around to scouting his land) ... and buddha hasn't fallen yet. |
