Regarding leader pick, I would like to not allow duplicates for the simple reasons that it's less confusing and we get more variety. (And clearly we need to ban at least India, and IMO we should also ban Inca and Pacal and Willem.)
Personally I would favor a simple pick in reverse turn order over four rounds: 4 3 2 1 4 3 2 1 4 3 2 1 4 3 2 1 And then you can pair up the leaders/civs within your team however you decide.
im going to dedlurk someone, so don't give my opinion to much weight - but I like the idea of a snake pick non-duplicates, just for the variety, and with 8 players the chance to see some creative leader combos we don't usually see picked. since we've been doing random leaders in the big game/pitbosses for so long, that would be fun.
