well, knowing where iron is is good, and frankly, this is a production poor map,.
Actually, though, I changed to alpha. I figure Azza has IW by now, so I can trade for it from him, plus maybe poly and monotheism.

As for whipping the archer. I think you should. It would be nice to have that other archer sitting on a hill so that this couldn't happen to us a second time.
Our dog soldier is also pretty vulnerable. Unlike an Axe, if a chariot walks up to you, you don't have decent odds to kill it. Just not a fan of North America. A marginally better Axe that can't kill an archer or chariot.
Alphabet might work if we can make the trades. Good eye on Azza. He's not going to be worried about trading with the #1 scoreboard. He's in survival and looking for any kind of ally.

Will Cornflakes be able to tell what/if we traded? Will simultaneous score increase give us away?

Everyone will be able to see what we have. Course, we'll be able to see (or infer, at least) what everyone else has, too.
I think the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. Spies will be really useful, as well, as scouts that can't be seen or killed by barbs.

btw - I think i agree, that Jowy won't attack. My guess is that he's considering it, though, given the way he's logged in and that he's getting lurker attention.
Honestly, if he attacks, it's a pain in the ass, but it's not fatal. I lose 100 hammers, he loses 30 when I kill the chariot. We both lose commerce - basically, it hurts both of us (me more than him, of course)

Yeah, he's definately considering it of course. Still, I think that he'll bypass the urge. I'm hoping anyway.
But Jowy will kill 100 hammers + value of 3 pop so this is not a simple 3:1 ratio that he's considering. And, he has the option of threatening NYPD.
Can we rethink this Alphabet thing? If Jowy decides that we're ripe for the picking he'll probably come back in 10-20 turns with a decent set of catapults and elephants. We'll need Construction and time to build up catapults. Iron working won't save us, even if its traded at low cost.
No matter what happens, keep that other archer moving to one of the hills. If Jowy comes in force we need to know about it.

I'm hoping, too
He doesn't have ivory and as far as I can see, he doesn't have any near him. I'm not worried about elephants, not right yet.
cats could be a problem, and I'll do some checking to see if anyone has construction. I dunno if they do.
We get alpha in 7 turns, then can evaluate what is next.

If that archer is a GII, you could leave him between the two hills and just move on and off in the same turn. He might not know that we have eyes in the area that way.

Yes. And the lake tiles are within your borders. And you have Fishing.

it's CG III, actually
I was doing that until I needed to barb bust... I will go back to it once we have enough defenders to do that and barb bust...
