Oh wow, you guys decided on normal speed? Really? I never read anything about that in the tech-thread. Are you sure about that? Because if not I would HEAVILY request Quick speed. Otherwise we'll be in the early game for the next 3 months (if we do play 1 turn / day).

The only post on the subject refers to quick speed (+your one), and as that makes it 2/5 I'll just go with that tomorrow.
I'm pretty sure that's how it was before anyway.

I was pretty sure the game was on Quick speed based on the few times I got to look at the save, and I agree that we'll want Quick.
Edit: Are we going with total restart/new map, or keeping the current map? 'Cuz I've gotten so familiar with my starting location, it'd be hard to change.....

THINGS WORTH KNOWING: [ EitBPBEMXXVI Restart03 ] is the name of the save (: doesnt save). There are no barbs T1 available through For The Horde (unless I failed to delete some archers...) - this is not deliberate, (only one promo was removed to ensure this) but simply a function of the way the map was setup (i.e. avoid preplaced barbs). Same map. Quick speed. Map has changed (a bit) since screenshots, make sure to look at it closely before settling.

I won't be able to play tomorrow (saturday) - plan to get hilariously drunk in some ski-resort without internet (or running water), both celebrating a friend turning 40, and the long-awaited start of this PBEM.
Friday and sunday are go, if I have a save then. I've made sure to delete earlier save, and used some (un)holy water to expel/exorcise the last remains of the previous evil savegame. Is the tracker updated & on the ball? It insists that Tasunke/Ryan has the save still.
Yeah I'll get you a new one sorry.
