So if I read that correctly you're voting found our next city on wines? If we do your chop-while-building-wealth would they really just stack up? all 120 hammers from the 4 forests?
If we can hold off on the walls whip we could wait and slip it in when (if) we get stone from Commodore...
Not sure if your road comment was related to the road sign I left on the forest hill. That's to make impi-sentry more mobile. Even impi can't move 2 tiles through forest hill.

40gpt for CoL??? I still don't understand that one. Pure for anyone to accept that, and almost insulting to offer. It would kill his teching for the next 10-turns. By my valuation (especially because it's a 40% prereq bonus tech, and several known-tech) it's only worth 250g or less.
I was even going to offer ~200g for CoL next turn (after he adds the saving from this turn to his treasury) because that will allow us to churn through IW quickly, plus a start on Construction. I'd rather not try that now though because we don't want to get him too annoyed at our incessant offers. On the other hand, if he offers that back and we accept ... what does that say about negotiations in the future? "He's willing to accept 50% of what he originally offers, so let's always negotiate down from now on and never take the first offer."

Forgive my little rant. You do good work, and the empire certainly would be in worse shape without you double checking my city builds and tile arrangents (for some reason I can never remember to work the corn at Grand Slam whenever I swap off to a mine).

Okay here's my view on it:
Yeah I meant the one on the hill - a road on the forest east would get us the city 1 turn eaqrlier IIUC.
Have you had a chance to update the sim?
If not I can manually do so on friday, but I'd rather we kept this one up to date. (By manually I mean altering it all in python)
Edit: Oh and yeah next one on wines.
I placed a sign for a border city with AT that also snags the silks - I think its got enough forests to land SoZ too, which would be awesome for border control (on which note, we REALLY need more workers - we've got enough military atm (TOP! ) so we can afford to go workers/settlers for a while.

We got Construction from Jowy He just researched it this turn, and traded it to us for CoL. Bad news is that he also traded it to Azza
Calendar comes at EOT. We've got happy so lets grow
7-turns to TGHL. Can't believe it's still available. Maybe the fact that we have 4 IND civs in the game is scaring everyone away from wonders.
No time for more now. I hope I got everything configured right

One more quick note: Don't change the build at Pork Chop if you log in. The catapult build was intentional. Also, keep growing Pork Chop quickly even though we don't have improved tiles left. The plan:
1) 2-pop whip axe at first sight of invading army (30H overflow)
2) 2-pop whip catapult the following turn (+10H = 40H overflow)
3) 2-pop whip Walls next (+10H = 50H overflow)
4) use overflow to complete another catapult.
Yes that stacks the whip, but we're busy raising the happy cap now, and it'll wear off. Pigs can go over to Volcano while we grow slow. Hopefully we can acquire IW to clear the banana for a clear killing field before Azza invades. IW is next for sure now that we've traded for Construction.

We got a GScientist. Options:
1) Academy (~15bpt at present, while teching)
2) Bulb Philosophy (found Taoism ... doesn't really do much for us except culture and deny others a religion)
2) Golden Age (we don't have much pop now for this to be super effective)
i say Academy as planned in Grand Slam. We're growing onto cottages now as the happy cap raises so the benefit will continue to increase.

Buddhism is now shrined (AT's border city with Colosus) ... it would be a huge blow to him if we could raze it ... not that it'll happen any time soon.
Here's a shot of the Northeast completely defogged through our next circle of influence ... Time to start laying some dots.
Here's a shot of our demos at full burn (122bpt @ -60gpt) ... compare our GNP with rival best. I'm assuming rival best ist Commodore since the trade screen indicates he's gone to 0gpt while burning gold. We're breakeven at 35% research currently. Set to grow rapidly in most of our cities.
We found on wines next turn, and borders pop to include pigs shortly afterwards. New city will hurt our banking rate, hopefully not to much though since it'll also connect us for TR's with 2metra. NOTE TO SELF: road first before founding the city so we don't have to wait another turn for the trade connection.
Still no sign of Azza invasion, so he's not going to re-declare when peace runs out (or at least not re-declare in force).
