Excellent bulb list, but no, no trade missions with people you're at war with.

Heh, that would enable a MC bulb, wouldn't it?

I was about to say the same thing, actually, after looking at the bulb list. (Honest, I swear.) Triremes are nice to have on this map. Boldly will probably Oracle metal casting, but rather him than Dazed. I don't want my cities on the west coast to suffer blockades.
Another option would be to bulb currency.
All in all, I think I'd rather have cultural ownership of the whole island and just research metal casting the slow way.

GNP numbers from T35:
Agriculture - 37 - Known by 3
Sailing - 37 - Known by 0
Pottery - 43 - Known by 3
Archery - 37 - Known by 0
Masonry - 42 - Known by 0
Priesthood - 37 - Known by 0
Bronze Working - 41 - Known by 2
They all got agriculture and pottery, so even though we detoured for polytheism, I think we're doing OK in the tech race towards TGL.

I'm following the micro plan. We see copper now; unfortunately we haven't got any in our current borders. I decided to revolt to slavery right away, just to inform everybody that we've got bronze working. Novice is the only one who hasn't revolted.

Since we will have a pretty good sentry net in the north and south, the main short term threat is from Novice. So I'll put our EPs back on him and watch his power graph. We'll hook copper on T46 or so. A little risky, but an early attack is pretty unlikely, IMO.
The save is in, but I haven't looked at it yet.

Nothing new to report. Turned on research, sailing due in three turns, and nobody else has it yet. Looks like I might be able to stop at 42 EPs both with Novice and Boldly. I wonder if that means everybody will be dumping their EPs on Dazed.
Here are the demographics on T37:
2nd place in both crop yield and MFG is ok, but if the first place in both categories is held by the same player (i.e. Novice), then that is slightly worrisome. Well, 47 crop yield is worrisome either way, really. Nothing to fear from the soldier count, at least.

Novice picked up yet more good tiles. He's really growing like a weed. (Graphs confirm that it's him.)
Our fifth city will be next to the copper, obviously. I'll tweak the plan a bit and leave the forest E-NE of Andorra unchopped. We'll use it as a pit stop for bringing three workers back east, instead. Those workers can hook the copper on the turn that the city is settled. (Which will be one turn later, since we're saving that chop.) I'll probably chop all three forests in that city ASAP, to build two galleys.
