The reason for the screenshots was that I was away on a trip and our turn player (Beta) was also using quite unreliable connection. He just wanted to make sure that the messages got to you.
We understand your reasoning about the gems.
The missionary should go to north to the capitol, north again to North River, and then NW to the city of Great Plains. Thanks.
an archer for you is on his way as we speak.
Unfortunately we don't see marble up for settlement, but the good news it that the Incan nation has it near the northern border. As soon as we conquer the Incan lands, we can utilize the resource. I bet this way even the builders see a good cause for our war.

Yay we're back to normal diplo.

Will one Chariot more on their side really matter?
What exactly are we losing if we tell them? As far as I can see: nothing!

Ok you guys swayed me, plus it seems to be the majority opinion. Sent this to German team real quick:

Really?! I didn't even post on this because I thought it was so obvious that warning them was a foolish idea. This is a team we're going to be fighting in a few dozen turns. That's one more unit we'll have to contend with later. The notion that the Germans would refuse to trade us marble because we didn't "warn" them about a barb unit is completely absurd.
I fully realize that this is trivial, but that was a dumb idea guys.

Eh, really what's a chariot going to do? It's headed south anyways, it's not going to factor into our war with them. If anything it may make them think we're a lot less likely to pile onto them. This likely doesn't really benefit us, but it's even more likely to not hurt us at all IMO.

By the way, knowing this team I think there's a STRONG chance they play the turn without even checking their email on time and this whole thing doesn't matter.

I think circumnav is more important and German team are closest to it. Since we alredy sent them a message, would it be worth while to send them a second message (if their chariot survives and head south) asking for land layout in that direction.

Even better - diplo points but no in-game consequences.

I hope this. But it's done now. Fingers crossed that they don't check the message. As Noble says, though, we'll be blamed anyway.

oh Lord, can we just stop talking about it? The most important point on the german chariot/barb axe issue is the word Sulla used "trivial." this whole argument is silly because there is almost 0% chance this affects our game either way
Please don't go. The drones need you. They look up to you.
