How about - "Tas says he's keen, but I wouldn't leave your borders empty until he declares. We'd use any cash for unit upgrades at this point, and pay you back in full (although we wouldn't want to pay interest - we are doing this for the good of the game after all!) after the war if Trolls are knocked down far enough that there is any point playing on..."

And how about this for TEAM, using Yossarian's analysis to try and stir some movement:

This makes us think that on your border they could be weaker, but they whipped a lot this turn, so I'd expect a few pikes to be appearing.

So I had a chance to run a couple of sims of the attack on WIFOM - gave our troops all the promotions and limited their defence to just what we've seen. I got nowhere near taking it.
The Plako caught me on chat:

Its true our chances of taking WIFOM are lower than yours of taking Katana. (Well okay you're certain to take Katana). So how about something else? Units? we can't offer catapults, but I have a few knights we don't necessarily need.

plako: Well that soe not sound quite enough. Maybe replacing the captured workers and razed city would be enough. That would be at least something I could suggest to the team. Naturally the island city too
me: They are +1 movement galleys - pretty special. Yeah, forgot the island city, all yours.
plako: 2* workers (immediately)+settler (e.g. within 10T) + 2*galleys+4*zerks+island city + furs for 30T. This sounds something I could present to the team
NAP up to T190?
me: Scratch the settler and I think our team could be interested. Long NAP is acceptable.
me: We like Katana, but we're always going to have the problem of it being crushed by your culture, so I think that lot outweighs it.
plako:: It is good city as is. All the resources are there.
