[spoilers] Commodore: Worse than Toku, it's Giggles of Siam!

Oh, and in the "actually matters" category:

As expected, its that seventh university that's going to be the difficult one. Still, whip

So, this turn. It began, of course, with some scouting. First off, Serdoa being all tempting. You really want to tempt boating? I could utterly destroy him. But not profitably conquer him, so I think I'll just go on not throwing this to Plako yet, mkay?

Thus, let us strike at the heart of The Wombats. First off, away goes the initial mace a 26.4% odds...LOSS., axe 2.2/5
[Image: Civ4ScreenShot0034.JPG]

That's expected, now archer is tops. Incoming Mammoth! 68% odds...WIN
[Image: Civ4ScreenShot0035.JPG]

Sweet. Now just mop up with the second mace at 97% odds, and...

The Romans salted their own earth, all infrastructure, gone. Still, we now own new lands, and they are...pretty good. More fleets are incoming; we are a divine wind, our destiny now manifest: To take the Isles of Rome, and to rule the waves.

Someone else has a destiny, but I'd hesitate to call the Buddhist Pope head of a very catholic confession.

We're just achieved something very badass, with very little fanfare: WE NOW HAVE EAST-ASIAN MODEL KNIGHTS. Okay, this is altogether wonderful, let's make a stack just to watch their cool little samurai selves run around fighting. Seriously, these guys are so cool, even more than the pimped out American knights.

...and Guilds did have another benefit. My OCD self notes with dismay, though, I need +1 more hammer here to get a nice perfect forge benefit. Maybe I'll make a Buddhist temple...

Meanwhile, I believe Serdoa will have some Taj competition. Bigger birthed a Great Artist; I suspect that goes immediately into a golden age. I still think Serdia will win the Taj, though. I'll just try to have fun other ways mischief

It's not all war, though. We're also colonizing peacefully! Quick question; can my WBs now cross ocean?

I believe that work boats can only cross ocean tiles within your own cultural control. I don't believe knowledge of astronomy changes anything.

Yes.

Also: Yay Blood!

My goodness you're chewing through that seed fund fast. Can't wait to see how that changes once PP comes in, though!

Yes, work boats can cross ocean outside of culture post-Astronomy. This was apparently changed in BtS (source).

'Company of the Shining Iron', eh?

Maybe some should get named after centaurs from the Shining Force.

Aye. Unfortunately, you can't use a special item to make them fly in this one.

Okay, took a gamble, lost, but not at all sad about it. I ought to have slapped the garrison archers in the galleon too, though, Azza's survived at a very kill-able 1.0/3. frown

Up to second in power now! I think my navy is pretty much peerless, too.

That southern galleon?
