Thanks.

So long as we don't lose our Defcon 3 rating. We'll only need 8-10 catapults to turn Eden Prime into a Jowy military graveyard. So that's my preference. Cities will be harder to get later,...missionaries not so much. We need to weight the benefit of that versus our requirement for new cities.
I'm just a military advisor, I have no stake in domestic affairs.

I don't understand why.
My guess is that it means this:
Is there any reason to think that this didn't happen? I mean why do you think that TT gifted him Rannoch voluntarily?
Maybe TT hit "ACCEPT" accidentally to one of Jowy's absurd offers. That would be hilarious.
Here's hoping anyway. That would take a tough decision (provoking TT) out of our hands. We're also perfectly placed to fork those two cities. So great again.
We definately need more LBs if we're going to hold these cities from Jowy. We also need more W2 maces to protect workers while we're chopping forests. And to exploit opportunities around Ferros. Not saying that we should take that city, its a powder keg of risk, but you may easily nab some more workers out of it.
And,....we're still going to need those 8-10 cats to turn Eden Prime into a graveyard.
Gawd, you know all this analysis was based on the idea that Jowy was troll defending. So troll defense vs us wouldn't go and take a snipe at TT.
Time to face the facts. Jowy has substantially recovered his army and is fighting on home turf. He was "double-teamed" by a TT that leaves 3(?) units in a city that is culturally right next door to Jowy.
Thanks a lot TT. First you swipe our city and then, just before we were going to kill you, you let Jowy walk right by us and expose our new city.
So assuming that the above has transpired. What to do?
Some possible moves:
1. Can that Chariot cut roads or is it just going to pillage the horses?
Woody2:
2. Move our W2/W3 (these are so useful, we need more of them).
2.1 First move SE of Rannoch. Assess the situation.
2.2 Next move SEE of Rannoch. We can make it to ER (quite possibly a fitting name now ) if the other WoodyIII holds that position. Don't get caught outside because Jowy could take that tile and block reinforcements.
3. Woody3:
3.1 Move SEE to Rannoch.
3.2 Move EEE of ER.
4. The rest of our stack. That's a tough one. I'd certainly trade ER for Rannoch. That river crossing buys us extra time or extra defense. I definately would not advise a move on Eden prime. This is more of a trap than an opportunity. As you recall he could still hold that city before those elephants disappeared.
So other than a HA attack, which Jowy hasn't shown much inclination to build, it looks like we have an extra turn for ALF. It also looks like we've got an incoming HA this turn. So that's good, and we can probably assume that this city is on the safer side for at least one more turn.
ER's not the end of the world to lose, especially if we can trade for Rannoch. We're now open to forking opportunities so we're definately going to have to reinforce this city with a substantial number of CG LBs.
Let's think carefully about whatever tradeoffs we're going to have to make. Try not to just react and move our stack, but let's make a calculated tradeoff that benefits us if at all possible.
That's my "don't despair" message coming through again.
I'd say that our optimal move for our stack is SE of Rannoch since he'll have no defensive bonuses on whatever he's got there. And it looks like he'll only have elephants in there since that's all the units that 'went missing' the other turn. Did you notice if his GG LB had morale on it?
If all we're talking about is a couple of elephants, then our pikes will eat those up.
One possibility is that Jowy could have moved his defensive troops to the forest SE of Rannoch. If he's done that,....well I just don't know. Probably kiss our Rannoch ambitions goodbye; say bye-bye to ER and move to defend ALF. Alternatively, hit with our 3 cats and try to clean up?
