We could make a post at CFC tomorrow if no one we PMd or Teleh is interested

Assuming teleh doesn't want to return: wetbandit was last online about twelve hours ago. I vote we give it another twelve hours, then post in Civ General. If that doesn't pan out after a while, then CFC, or asking Comm to remake a map for 9 instead of 10.

I spent a fascinated weekend going through those threads and it's easily at the top of my list of "people getting genuinely angry at each other over the Internet." Yeah, that times 1,000. ![]() Seriously, Teleh, don't feel bad, I've taken no offense and have behaved much worse without being shamed off this forum. Specifically in the game Sisu mentioned. Apparently there are good threads from that game if you want to read through them, but I don't recommend mine or the public diplomacy thread. Those are both reflections of humans behaving badly. As for this game, if you still want to play I (and probably most/all of the players who signed up) would prefer you to stay on rather than resign. You did form the game after all. In the event Teleh does not return to the game I would suggest we get a replacement rather than ask Commodore to change the map. It may be that he designed it in such a way (for all we know) that removing a player would completely break the balance. I guess that's a question he can answer. Until then I'd suggest: 1. Teleh confirms (or declines) his return to the game. Or, 2. We find a replacement. Or, 3. We beg Commodore's forgiveness and get him to alter the map. 1 >>>>> 2 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 3. Just catching up for the night and saw the recent developments. Somewhat short-sightedly, it turns out, I didn't expect to have to play turns so quickly, and am away from a CPU that can play civ. I won't be able to get to one in 48 hours or so.
I can't imagine delaying this just for me right at the outset would be particularly fair to everyone else. I did PM Kuro and say I would be interested, but I'll leave that up to the group.
You forgot

Erebus in the Balance - a FFH Modmod based around balancing and polishing FFH for streamlined competitive play.
This won't start in 48 hours (I 100% guarantee it).

Okay then. teleh, if you're still reading this forum: could you give us a positive yes or no about whether you'd like to retake the reins of Persia? I think the last page or so of posts should make pretty clear that folks are ok with you returning, but if you still would prefer to step out, please let us know so we can replace you, either with wetbandit or with someone else (if there's someone else strongly interested and unspoiled who can step in before wetbandit can - though I suppose you two could team up?).
wetbandit, as far as I know sunrise hasn't set up the game on his server yet, so we're stuck in a holding pattern anyway until he has time to get around to that.

Alright, provided I'm not the cause of any delay, or if that's agreeable with everyone, I can take over. Either way, I'll wait to hear if teleh decides to rejoin.
