As noted, I botched up the tactical situation a bit last turn when I unexpectedly encountered 6 more knights in his territory. So now 3 of our maces are left to die bravely and serve as a "distraction" while we move on his city.
Domestically, Oxford is due in 7 turns, Notre Dame in 3. I'm building a castle in Deerslayer because I'm paranoid.

Pictures from after ending turn. Note that Tasunke is less than 200 beakers away from construction.

I started playing the turn, and razed the stone city at a loss of one berserker. (Plus the one who razed the city will surely die too; I guess I should just delete it?)
The reason I'm posting is that HitAnyKey has not responded in any way, and his units are still actively tracing our stacks.
So I'll close borders with them this turn, unless anyone strenuously objects. It will probably hurt our economy, but that can't be helped.
Edit: Pictures of what I did so far:

Alright, I canceled open borders with M3, retreated our stack outside Shaistakoff, and moved our three exposed maces towards safety, also covering them with a pike. I deleted the berserker that razed his stone city.
I also offered peace to Tasunke in exchange for Shaistakoff. If he refuses, we can try the same offer next turn, but also promise to return Pidgeon Forge.
The capital grew and will now complete Oxford in four turns. Notre Dame is due at the end of next turn.
Weird game mechanics: we completed walls in Pidgeon Forge, but it only gets +12% defense, presumably because we bombarded it before capturing it. I didn't anticipate that.

I offered white peace to Tasunke. Our troops are moving west, with the exception of four berserkers, who will embark on boats and head north. (Unless he takes peace, that is.)
We completed Notre Dame at the end of the turn. So we have plenty of happiness now, and we also just took back the lead in crop yield.
Tasunke got construction and is now researching Civil Service. Gillette is heading for education. We will have research visibility on M3 too in a couple of turns.

We now have research visibility on everybody except Pirates. Gillette are almost done researching Paper, TEAM is researching Civil Service, and M3 have Guilds due it two turns.
M3 revolted into Vassalage and Serfdom (!). (They are in a golden age.)
I decided to go with Novice's suggestion and resettle Gin Tonic. A city on the gold up north might still be a good idea, though.

M3's golden age is over, so apparently serfdom and vassalage were their intended long-term civics. Serfdom is a strange choice, IMO.
Tasunke moved a couple of units neer Deerslayer, returning from M3's territory. I killed a spear of his. Troops are positioned so that we could strike against both of his western cities next turn. Only 3 cats if we go for the far western one, though. But I think we should do that, as it only has two units, and it is size 8. Razing that would be worthwhile, just to set him back further.
Most cities are building courthouses. There are flood plains in the center of the big island.

Gillette are about to settle the silver/deer island in between the two of us.
I left a single combat I pike in Pidgeon Forge, and positioned a stack on the hill south of it, so we can retake it and hopefully raze it. I also moved in on Ancient War.
At the end of the turn we completed Oxford University, and popped iron in Ramune, as if the city wasn't awesome enough already. The iron can also be shared with Deerslayer.
The big island also has gems. No surprise there.

Sadly, the pike in Pidgeon Forge died to the first attacking knight. Tasunke then proceeded to attack our stack on the hill south of PF, which had two pikes. He didn't fare all that well, losing six knights in the process. Looks like we may have enough troops left to kill his remaining four knights on the counterattack. He also moved a couple of crossbows towards the city. We can attack those with units from Ramune if we want to, but I don't know if it's worth it. In the east, he also moved three units out of Shaistakoff and up to our border. He got a great general that was born in the city north of Pidgeon Forge.
Looks like we can kill those four knights next turn, hopefully razing PF. We can also raze Ancient War, and we could use our four berserkers to raze a city in the north that's defended by a single crossbow. (Alternatively, keep moving and look for an even more vulnerable target.)

Bird in the hand...I'd say raze what looks razeable, delaying attacks will only help him since his logistics are better than ours.
