Looking at the Tally I think it is a bit too early (just 13h in the game) to have already 2 BW rolling fullsteam ahead. Were it friday it would be happy but so.

I think I propose a little push on Gazglum who is unusual silent.

Ok. I haven't exactly been pushing hard to lynch Brick though, even if he has my vote currently. So I was a bit surprised, because it seemed like you were implying that I was dead set on lynching him. Why do you suspect him?
If you know what I mean.

It;s nothing completely damning, but it does feel like an attempt to just put enough forward to look visible without really construction much of something. I'll put my vote on Azza for now, but keep my eyes open as the day goes on.

This part where BRick explains his vote on Azza is suspicious. He didn't go for the easy reasoning. Instead, he kind of paraphrased the best argument in the thread against Azza (I believe Serdoa made it), but without really referencing it. Felt a bit like a try hard explanation, which is suspicious.

Wait, someone already had commented on this? If they had then in my reading through the day I must have missed it, I hadn't seen anyone call out Azza on that yet.

You know what I am missing in all your post? A simply explanation of the why behind your first post, what you hoped to achieve etc. Your 2nd post makes it sound like it was a deliberate play to see how people react - but if it was I'm surprised that you don't state that outright in your post. That's feeling as if you are worried that someone could take such a statement and give you fire for it (and seeing how it backfired he might very well be right to do it).

I was referring to this post, BRick.

Gazglum has been unusual sleeping for 9 of the 14 hours so far, but he is here now.

But while we're kicking the quiet ones, I'll give Novice a poke. Two posts so far, his first a jokey revenge+block vote post against Brick, which is fine. But his second post, now into 'real discussion' part of the game, kept that vote without any further analysis. Why do you think Brick is the best vote right now Novice?

Another request to change the Lurker thread title so it has spoilers before WW24. I got out before seeing anything, but it's a really easy mistake to make.

Stop kicking me, I'm lying down. (Lynch all liers?)

I was serious that BRick's "let me do what I always do" opening was lame. The other cases being pushed smell of poisoned wine to me, so I really can't decide what glass to drink from.

BRick, you said you were going to crusade for my lynch. Why haven't you?
I have to run.

Gazglum, you can take the next shift. smile Maybe you and Lewwyn can figure out who the scum are, while I sleep.

Some scattered thoughts before I head to bed:

I think there's a pretty big difference in tone and style between Ichabod in this game and when he played as Morte in WW20, for example. In WW20, he didn't give a damn about appearances, but here he seems more concerned with trying to make well reasoned posts that will be well received. On the other hand, his "don't waste your time on me" approach does remind me a bit of his town play in earlier games.

I think Brick's second post is a little too cheerful considering his situation. It might be designed to deflect and defuse the attack, trying to laugh it off. He does nothing to challenge the people who are voting for him, despite some pretty flimsy reasons on our part. I can't really remember how he plays as town, though, to be honest. But in general, I'd expect a townie to react with slightly more indignation and suspicion.

Azza's second post wasn't completely reassuring, but after some consideration I still don't see him as the best lynch today. In contrast to Brick, he considers everybody who is suspecting him and dismisses them in turn as having justified their suspicions. Then he gets more suspicious of Serdoa again, when he refuses to let him off. I think these are pretty natural reactions. I guess Serdoa is pretty much in character too, as we usually end up on opposite sides of these WIFOM debates. I can see where he's coming from, but it's not where I'm coming from. Azza's attention-grabbing self-vote could be a gambit, but statistically speaking, it probably isn't. (A.k.a. the fancy play theorem.)

So the upshot of the above is that my vote stays on Brick. I'm certainly willing to listen to other opinions, though.

Cross-posting with Novice, who is touching upon some of the same things. Brick's play is quite passive, and the Azza case is just WIFOM.
If you know what I mean.
