Toronto! Been here on business for the week, and taking an extra day tomorrow to play tourist. Did the CN Tower last night, going to the Blue Jays home game tonight, and seeing the Hockey Hall of Fame tomorrow.

Hawkmoon Wrote:In Flagstaff, AZ. At a really nice campground just south of it, actually. We're here for a college reunion, of sorts - I went to Northern Arizona U for undergrad, and some of our group from then are all getting together this weekend. The festivities kick off this afternoon with a matinee of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince! Hi Hawk
My son and I didn't find the movie as enjoyable as might have been. Too long. I nearly fell asleep, though the scene in the watery cave was pretty well done.
Rowling is sorta bad with her deus ex machinas. Story had, for me, a bit too much sit com level teen drama.
But, considering the audience, I suppose one needed to expect that empahsis.
HOpe your trip is/was a great success.

Well, drat! I leave the city for cottage life and *then* you get sent there on business? Maybe next time we will have an opportunity for a coffee and visit?
At Pike Bay, at the neighbour's cottage, sneaking a few minutes online after making a (only slightly panicky) phone call to the eldest son to confirm that he will be here tomorrow *before* the concrete truck arrives to deliver sufficient concrete to pour a floor for the new storage shed that I discovered I would need this summer after a major windstorm this winter knocked over some more trees and ensured that the current storage shed no longer protects its contents from the elements.
Yes, the two eldest will both be here in time to aid with the wheelbarrow brigade that will transfer the concrete from the truck to the shed location.
