Yeah, got up and it was work calls and emails even before I left.
Anyway, I evaded the caravel scout, but things are a bit grim. First, Scoopin took Rheims. Second, they
kept it. Thirdly, they offered peace for their old city back and Slow took it...so Slow is now at peace with them, and soundly beaten. Um. And they must have roughly one billion ships, now sailing...west?
I won't be rushing a great merchant over to Culver's, because, alas, I made a scientist. He's worth about a turn and a half of research at most in a bulb, so it's Academy in Western Heights or else golden age. We'll see what the capital spawns.
I'll try again next Pacifism/Caste period, which means Riverside is going to be working on just growing to pure maximum size, nothing else. I love this little craphole, I really do, even though it's not making many hammer. The ToA trade beakers rock though.
In general, demos: Good GNP, bad MFG, good CY. Nice power. Okay, we need to overcome the Plako Factor here.
Nothing for it, most likely, just gotta build ships. At least my hammers are better than the Zulus' hammers; sadly, I'm worried about exposure on the East Coast.

Next turn, it becomes evident that the Zulu were nervous about the 6-mover hitting Jamba. Um, we might be in for a fight even if they didn't see the invasion fleet. Bummer.
I'm trusting that the newly-in-4th Dutch are just going to sit tight and make temple and cathedrals...that's the bet, anyway, plus with chemistry they ought to be nervous. I'm running *light* up here.
Here's Generica. High water mark, or poised to grow?
