Ok, but how is that different from other promotions that alter base game mechanics? Is blitz an exploit because it allows you to attack twice with the same unit? Is commando an exploit because it allows you to use enemy roads?
I don't want to spam up your thread or antagonize you, but you did mention setting a future precedent for RB games and I really don't see anything wrong with it.

No, nothing wrong with the question.
Blitz and Commando are doing exactly what they set out to do. Blitz lets you attack multiple times in a turn. Commando lets you use enemy roads. If you promote to Blitz before your your first attack or after you still can attack multiple turns. Commando -- well, you can only use the movement you have, but as soon as you promote to it you get the benfit.
Morale, used in certain situations, lets you get a bonus far greater than +1 move. That is my concern. It lets you move where you would not otherwise be able to move. And not because the unit HAS the morale promotion, but simply because it was promoted midturn. In the instance with Commodore's knight, if that knight was promoted to morale before it came to our shores, it could not have disembarked and attacked on the same turn. That's my point.

Honestly... I think it's totally fine. I think it's dumb that the mechanic works that way and super irritating that we lost a city ONLY because of a really obscure and dumb mechanic, but I don't think it's a bug or exploit or anything.

Also, hopefully nobody took my post about the advisers too seriously or thought it was mean or anything. I figured it would be funny only to pindicator and me, so GOOD ENOUGH. I was going to try to parody Commodore's role-play history story things - I even spent some time re-reading his PB5 stories to try to get inspiration - but man those things are just too much for me to even attempt.

This is by far the best argument against this GG thing. It's the only thing that sounds valid to me.

I just tested this one in WB, and apparently you can only do 5 more tiles over RR after gaining the morale promotion? Weird.

My bad, you're right. But you could still move onto the oasis tile with a 1 move unit, then promote, then move off.

Yeah, it'd be the same as a forest hill or whatever.

You're gonna need more than that, Comm!
For a count, there's 30 units total:
15 knights
6 eles
4 muskets
3 maces (1 GG mace)
2 cats
