I assumed EitB and losers' list when I made my picks. Reading the older posts, I agree that hasn't been definitively decided, but that's obviously my vote.

Didn't realise that. I'm like Dave, in that I'm perfectly happy wiht the "loser" civs.

Sounds like we're going with that. Under that assumption, I'll submit some picks as well.
How do we feel about a starting shade? (Or other options along those lines?)

Missing just Ellimist and Tholal's picks before I can tell you who's who.
It would be handy for someone to collect all the settings info in one post, once you're agreed on them. That makes it much less likely for me to miss something.

Starting shade sounds like a good idea, to pick up the pace of the early game a bit.

+1 to this.
In relation to getting the save my used email is now briandmoseanachain@the crowd who only pay 2% tax in Ireland, and my play time will be 19:00 to 21:00 BST (by my reckoning this post was written at 19:40 give or take).

My email is rbdavev9; playing times are 4:00-6:00, 12:00-13:00, and 18:00-21:00 (US East coast; so 9:00-11:00, 17:00-18:00, and 23:00-1:00 London time).

So I came here looking for a way to play online, but cant seem to find it, GameSpy doesn't seem to work. By the way what is EITB? I'm guessing a mod of Fall from Heaven? Like Fall further?

There are very few people playing FfH online. Your best bet for an online game is to schedule a direct IP game with a group of people. I think there's an MP setup thread at Civ Fanatics, and there's another one in this forum (this one is mostly for vanilla BtS though).
EitB is short for Erebus in the Balance, meant to make the game more balanced for multiplayer. Rather than adding lots of stuff like Fall Further, I'd compare it to More Naval AI, which aims to fix bugs and improve gameplay without changing the mechanics of the game. If you look in the EitB subform, you'll find a thread by Jojo_Fr, who was looking for online MP games a month or so ago.

Or if you're willing to play a slower paced game, this one is currently recruiting for a 1 turn/day play by e-mail game: http://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/showt...p?tid=6122
