mostly_harmless Wrote:Also I think I managed to mess up my simulation again. Pyramids on T76 now. Grrr. (I wish we had soooo on the team to manage the workers. See Apo Demo Game.)

We could always call him over for some friendly lurker assistance bow

I suggested the cottage tile because units coming from CT wouldn't be delayed at our capital, but that doesn't really make sense anyways. The current hill would be better.

I'll have to try it!

Lacplesis is due to meet Imhotep by continuing northwards, from the information that dsplaisted has generously provided us.

Had another idea.
We can speed up the Oracle by one turn.
Plan:
Get Pyramids by T76.
Revolt to Slavery & Representation on T76.
Coming out of anarchy on T77. (Double civic switch should be only 1 turn of anarchy, right?)
Whipping Kobe for one pop point (30h for one pop, right?) on T77.
Oracle on T78 instead of T79.

Also this has the beauty of not needing the forest chop. So it can either go into the granary or we don't chop at all and rather have the worker move onto the cows and pasture them, which is what I would prefer, because it would time nicely with the completion ofthe Oracle. Kobe could switch from the mrable to the pastured cows to regrow quickly.

What tile(s) are we working for the Oracle? Cows until we grow and then cows + marble?
Reply

Cows until we grow and then marble and a grassland forest for one extra hammer and 2 food. The one hammer is crucial.

Also, I think you got the dsplaisted message a little wrong. I was referring to the landbridge between ChironBetaPrime and CoT. I don't care what he does on that northern landbridge. Will write him a correction.

Quote:Hi Daniel,

From the conversation in the IT thread, we came to the conclusion that Ruff/TAD had declared war on a team we have yet to meet. Thank goodness it isn't us! It is very reassuring to hear the details, so thank you for your concern and generosity by keeping us in the know. We have a scouting warrior heading towards Ruff's NW, so we should run into Immy soon.

Congratulations on the Great Lighthouse and founding your third city! However, we ask that you do not settle any further east than ChironBetaPrime including the landbridge to the north.

We look forward to continuing cooperation between our teams smile

EDIT: Oops. My bad. I didn't really consider the land near CoT a landbridge, sorry :/

From Broker33:

Quote:I thought I gave you directions.

Let me see if I remember where you are. Just east of the Capital. You can go either E or N

If you go E you turn N past the water to get to the Lins
If you go N you need to scoot east abit to get to Lins but mostly just north.

You see anything on the rukus going on N of you? Have you seen any prats your way? Just curious I have my scout heading up there to meet species Imhotep smile

To Broker33:

Quote:Hi Paul,

Thanks for the clarification. We will continue north and then scoot to the east.

Regarding the mess in the north, we are as much in the dark as you are. We have our scouting warrior heading northwards to meet Imhotep as well. Daniel has informed us of the conflict and has confirmed a praet sighting, which is bad news for Immy, but good news for us.

I have started to sign off our letters starting with the person who wrote the letter (Kodii & mh when coming from me, mh & Kodii when coming from you), not that it really matters.

T66 Played.

We now have a line of sight into Broker33's 2nd city, Stock
Ruff's 2nd city, Unimatrix 1, has whipped out a barracks
Our capital has finished its own barracks and has started on an axeman (due in 4)
Stone is now connected.

I've been entertaining the idea of rushing Unimatrix 1 with axes, which would royally screw Ruff... but maybe that's a pipedream.

I was thinking the same, but it will take ages for us to assemble a force up there.
I more surprised that he turned down our NAP offer, seeing as how close his crucial source of iron is to our city and then attacking a civ on the other side of his territory.

After all we could easily chop out axes in Kobe and take UM1 if we would drop the Oracle.

Idea for BH.
Since Ruff is not attacking us first, we can delay the first axe slightly and increase our chances to get the Great Wall.

T66 (current turn): Axeman (0/35)
T67: switch to GW, worker chops current tile. Axeman (10/35), GW (0/150)
T68: switch to Axeman, worker moves E. Axeman (10/35), GW (75/150)
T69: switch to GW, worker chops 2nd forest. Axeman (20/35), GW (75/150)
T70: GW complete!, continue Axeman, Axeman (20/35), GW (150/150)
T71: Axeman (30/35)
T72: Axeman complete. BH grows to siez 6 (happy cap) starts settler.

Played the turn. Not much to report. Had a quick chatwith Kalin. He wants Open Borders. There scout is approaching our territory apparently. We cannot see it yet. he said he is close to some grassland horses. So its either coming from the north of Kobe, in which case we block him with our culture. Or he comes from south of the Silky River (ESE of BH).

In the light of the recent message/warning, I would prefer to hold back on the OB, as it is not needed that urgently. Neither their scout, nor our warrior is in need of OB to continue.
