Cap to grow to 8 next turn, will start settler then with an eye to a 3-pop whip to spill into a lighthouse/galley/whatever. Clammy is ready to whip the granary, but wanted to delay to ensure we have enough coins to finish IW. Prior to whips, we will likely be #1 in pop with 2 cities growing next turn. #2 in GNP with 60 (top is 64); with stonehenge, religion, and other culture, I bet we are #1 in actual beakers.

WLP didn't attack with his spear, but he appears to be scouting with it. He is heading down towards Molach, but I am sufficiently scared enough that I pulled the worker and escort off of the corn, delaying growth. It did speed a chop into the granary, however.

Oxy gave us OB and I am exploring both Molach and Oxy's territory and the Molach-Oxy border. Oxy has a few axes and 3rd ring copper.

EP is progressing slowly until we get graphs on WLP and Oxy. Azza continues to dump all of his EPs on us and WLP also focuses his spending on us. Geo-Politically, I wish we could convey to Molach that we are not enemies. This will assume, of course, that we have Iron.

IW comes in next turn, hopefully, Molach didn't settle "our" iron. That's the other reason I haven't whipped, in case there needs to be another holy war for a strategic resource. Need to save gold for the next turn or two, but debating whether it is worth it to get to writing through Med-Priest or just go straight there. We will eventually need Monarchy, so there might not be much harm in doing that.

We are charismatic, we have ivory, we MIGHT get gold so I think we are not that bad on the happiness front, we might think about going to Math and Constru y'know for Catas.
Yeah, I'm not happy about my past behaviour either. shakehead

Yeah, I agree with that, Cats will be vital. Writing was a 3 turn tech at 100% last I checked anyway. I just hope that The Great War to Secure Iron doesn't follow the The Great War to Secure Horse.

That's good. I have a settler queued up in Breakfast Tail. Plan to settle on the PH to get first ring. Chop into a monument to get the rice into play. 2 hammer plant and a chop will get the monument online quickly. Squeeze a 2nd city on the PH between the gold and stone?

I have an archer moving that way to make sure that's still "our" gold, project some power.

Molach is scouting by Mad Dog with a Chariot.

Or there is 1s on the plains. I don't like that option because it will take at least 13 turns from settling to hook iron, at least 17 turns from now. That's a lot of time to get hosed by spears or, at worst, praets. Any thoughts?

Get iron asap plan is better because we need our iron asap.
Shame we will have to spread out so thin with our cities, but we did not make the map. We must be strong in next couple of ten turns not to die to azza or molach...

Whipped settler in the cap, will be speeding towards the Iron next turn.

Internationally, I probably indulged in the smoke and gave OB to WilliamLP. I wanted to keep the impression that we are friendly, since we're his closest neighbor as far as we can tell. Denying OB would have engendered some ill will. Especially since he has a spear walking around which we really can't do much about for awhile.

Molach is finishing a road to Mad Dog which means he can two-move it with chariots from his border. We need to keep defenses high there.

We made contact with Suttree in the far east, in Oxy's lands with his galley, probably a lucky coincidence.

Guess we need spears and axes ASAP...
This ain't a newbie friendly map, it seems like it is an AW map with horribly generated resources.
