Sure! The plan is to get Mardoc to commit to a two-front war with Ellimist, where he does all of the fighting and I (being a closer neighbor of the Calabim) keep all of the spoils. And hope that by that time, the elven economy + expansive trait will have kicked in.

Right now Ellimist has a good lead. But Mardoc's been in a golden age for the last nine turns, and just fired his worldspell for another 18 turns of golden age. And maybe he'll add another golden age or two for good measure, with the Bone Palace or great people he generates during this one. So, ultimately, those two are going to have to tussle with each other. The important thing for me, I think, is to look prickly enough that Ellimist doesn't decide he has time to conquer me before dealing with Mardoc.

More thorough update: I used my great engineer on the Titan, and a few turns later lost my highly promoted lizardman hunter in an unlucky battle with a bear. On the bright side, there are a ton of bears out there (including a bear den which I'm about to build a city next to), so my culture problems are basically over (and my fawns can get plenty of experience).
I built Gilden (obviously), and have otherwise been sticking to my earlier plan. My original lack of a plan for dealing with the mistforms (just keep teching WotF and hope they suicide or go away) has backfired badly. It's tempting to think I would have been better off going for Archery right away. Though if I had done that, I might have lost Volantis' Rest. Plus, Gilden might not have fared so well against two mistforms rather than one.

Short term plan is to snag the Great Commander at military strategy. On the one hand, it seems like a long shot: I've got a much lower GNP than either of the leaders, and they're both in golden ages right now. But it doesn't look like anybody has Philosophy yet (not getting a known tech bonus on it), and I'm not sure if anybody else has Warfare (I'm the only one running Military State), so I figure it's worth a try.

After that, I'll put a Heroic Epic in the capital while teching Priesthood, and then make use of the +145% military production to push out a boatload of Priests of Leaves.
