Without doing even more math, I don't know if that's better or worse. Or I could just use this and stop counting on my fingers because clearly that isn't working.
Also, knowing the difference between dependent/independent modifiers...

T77 - No time for a report, just photos. Boldly if you get time you should write out the worker moves, I think I can get the chops in by T80 with the plans in the signs, you may want to check.

Ugh. You're not going to like this. I had an awesome misclick on one of the workers. I pushed the "a" button and sent the bastard off on an automated trip to attempt to road the deer. So, a wasted worker turn. I also didn't move the workers properly, the signs didn't make much sense and cluttered everything, I suppose. Anyway, tile Y won't be chopped T79. We'll just have to add a turn to our build time.
To compound this, I started the attack on the barb city. It is still size one, but I figured we'd attack now and then be able to promo/heal up to finish off the warriors when the city grows. We won with the combat/melee chariot and lost the ~76% fight with our sentry chariot. Shit. The combat/melee chariot is down to 1.0 but has a promo available next turn. Just shit, all the way around. I didn't even want to take pictures I was so disgusted.
At EoT 78 we will have 202h invested in the Mids. T79 we'll put in another 135, leaving 117.

I went ahead and grabbed the turn since it was convenient, and now it's only Azza to play.
Two more turns on Mids. Workers are going to lay down a few cottages. I also took two workers to the island. As soon as I loaded the second worker onto hte boat I realized I didn't need the second worker on the island for another 5 turns or so. I really sucked last turn. Also note that the work boat has discovered yet another barb city. We really need to get some axes out.
I can't help but think that there was a MUCH better way to go about capturing that barb city. Now it grows and mocks me. Well, let's see...I'm not exactly sure about how the barb behavior works here, but I'm wondering if I had gone on to win the ~75% fight as well as the one that I did win (before a barb warrior attacked out...), leaving a single barb in the city. Well, I'm pretty sure I know exactly what would have happened, the barb would have continued to defend and I'd have a promo/heal attempt at the city this turn, just as it grew to size two.
So, vets, did I make the right call, a right-ish call, or was it pure ? My goal in attacking early was to whittle down the defense to a conquerable size so that whenever the city grew, I'd be able to get it right away, and if I took severe damage that I could have a few turns to heal up to be able to conquer quickly. The only thing in retrospect I wish I had done would have been to stack my units so the stronger chariot would have defended against a new attacker. But, I don't think that would have even been an issue in this case if I had just won the fight. Anyway, now that the deed is done, what should I have done?
Turned tech on, now we're not totally last in GNP. We are last in soldier count since I've been so bad with our chariots, but we have a new one next turn. Yay...
Xenu, we could open borders with Sisu but I see no need to do so, as we're getting intercontinental routes now to our stone city. No need to help Sisu any, the map did plenty for him. We have one foreign route with WilliamLP to our island city. Until we discover other overseas nations, we should probably keep the open borders situation as it stands now. BTW, do you have any idea who got GLH?

I think I posted up thread somewhere who got the Lighthouse, but I don't remember now. Retep comes to mind, though, it's probably him.
Yeah leave OBs as they are until we're getting more routes with our own cities. I'm not opposed to getting OBs with Sisu if we're going to attack him though, never hurts to have a look first.

Here's all that matters for this turn:
50/50 chance at worst. I'm feeling pretty good about this now. Though, if there is any justice in the world, we'll lose the wonder this turn because I fouled up the workers moves on T79.
We found retep. I might open borders to pass through and try to confirm if he has GLH. If so, I could then close borders after passing through.
Lurkers, are you as bored by this thread as I think you are?

Don't need to open borders with him, just make contact and then check the Top 5 cities / Wonders page and see if his name is beside the Lighthouse.

I'm pretty bored by the game, not the thread, but I guess I'm splitting hairs. As for what to do about it, I assume we'll try to kill anyone we get a chance to. Ride the representation wave to catch up in tech a bit, go after HBR + Archery, build a force, and see if Sisu can survive it. If he can, we're boned, probably. If not, maybe we're back in the game.
