Slowcheetah likes titles, they really make his day.

T70 played as planned. Nakor/Jester offered open borders. You don't have a trade route (no benefit/harm) and I noticed you had already signed with Gavagai /Bacchus so I accepted. Though I'm not sure why you signed with Gavagai, the trade connection is one-sided so he benefits and you don't. Must sleep now. When I wake, I'll post some pictures to re-orient you to the game.

Thanks a lot for playing the turns Sutree. Barb issues seem to have worked out as expected. I accepted open borders with Gavagai because I was sleepy and wasn't really thinking about it. Popup to open borders sounds ok, to click. Figured it would be more hassle to cancel now, particularly as I wasn't sure of the lay of the land.

A few shots for lurker eyes:

Seriously Sian? Why did you think I'd accept this? Stone may be tempting, but I think he'd know that it'd be a temporary trade.

Could be fighting down by Sian. Three workers on the gems and a city guarded by a warrior. I have three axes and three skirmishers in the area. Although only two of each are in a striking position. Importantly Sian doesn't currently have revenge ponies.
Domestically my city count is low, I would have had another city, but I misclicked a fair few turns ago and whipped a lighthouse in my capital rather than a settler. Ah well. I'll be up to seven in the next few turns though. I'm heading for currency, I've got plenty of room to expand horizontally and have trade connection with both Yurimack and Gavagai for boosted trade routes.

Galley Exploration. Admittedly I can'even full see a tile, but Jester looks like he's extremely boxed in by Gavagai.

Need more workers. Need better demos. smile

I didn't attack. Sian moved his three workers away (without finishing hooking gems) and whipped an extra warrior in his city. I'd have little problem mowing through the extra warrior, but I wouldn't be able to hold the city indefinitely and without the three workers their was no real gain for me aside from slowing him down. If I had razed the city a long costly war probably would have started and I have plenty of land I want to expand into.

However, the 'passive' aggressive moves have slowed Sian down significantly in that city, specifically from whipping a monument into his city. I may enable me to grab the gems at least temporarily. Any slowdown is good as well, because Sian's FIN/IND is extremely powerful when my EXP/CRE starts to wane so he'd make a good takeover prospect in the longterm.

I did try to blackmail him into giving me ivory to leave him alone, but he was having none of it. I'm going to look to trade my spare gold for someones ivory soon. Perhaps Yurimack because Gavagai has metal casting and thus forge access.

I like it how you started next to 2 gold mines and still don't work them.

I wanted to expand outwards and to greater food sites first, my techrate hasn't been bad, and signficantly I haven't been in any wonder races. I probably would have settled the spot quicker if I hadn't been trying to block in Sian. Having said that, they would be being worked by now if I hadn't miswhipped a lighthouse in my capital instead of a settler. The spot will be settled in two turns.

I'm working a different gold :P
