At least she talked a lot and tried to get people talking which in my book is far better then sitting on the sidelines making jokeposts or keeping silent/not playing at all. Were all her posts wells of insight? No of course not but I rather have her alive and contributing. If she is scum she will betray herself (and maybe even her wolfbuddies) if we give her enough time.

And novice as a wolf didn't post a lot and defend a lot last game?
Her posts were mudslinging and intentionally MISLEADING.
Oh a merrily we go! Let the wolf alive! Soner or later she'll tell us we were right! Happily to the noose she'll go! WE JUST NEED TO GIVE HER ENOUGH TIME!

I just cannot get over how bad this post is. You are either naive and just the worst kind of villager who equates activity with innocence or you are scum trying to buy more time for your wolfscum buddy.
This is why the village has been trending towards losing every game on RB WW. The village has become to afraid of lynching someone who defends because we might possibly be killing off a contributor. In fact it seems that it now takes unquestionable power role proof to lynch any vocal wolves. Instead we simply allow the village to shift to the easiest lynch, the one who's not online, the villager who sticks his neck out too far, or the villager who gets confused or is unable to keep up. The wolves have gotten good at defense and the villagers have become sheep unwilling to make a tough call. This post is a travesty.

My main strike against the "he's just good at defending" theory is that I don't think he's an experienced player.
We have had games where the fatal mistake was not lynching the lurkers, and we've had games where we should have lynched a vocal player. It's hard to generalize from that. Besides, it seems the main reason he's been vocal is that he's spent a lot of time defending and explaining himself. So he shouldn't be profiled as a "vocal wolf" based on that.
In any case, I kept my vote off him because I didn't think he was scummy, not because of his contributions.

Or maybe it's more accurate to say that I think he's a villager with a slightly scummy baseline. I can see why he's attracting suspicion.

Great post. This confirms one of my fears to be false, that you and Percival were noob villagers, which would have explained why the two of you have been completely tunnel visioned on one target. That post shows that you're familiar with both WW and RB. Percival could still be a noob, and most likely is, but you are now confirmed a vet. Not just a vet, but I'm starting to see signs of an insightful player in general. Seeing someone talk like a pro but play like a noob is a huge red flag. One point in your, and Sir Percival's, favor is that both of you have been extremely obvious in getting me lynched. If you were wolves, you would know that I would flip villager once lynched, and you'd be in trouble. Of course it could be done for the "a wolf would never do that" points, but I would still count that fact in your favor and not against you. I'm currently more suspicious of some of the more subtle people, like Mary, whose case I want to revisit soon.

Consider this: We lynch Muriel tomorrow what do we get from it? If she turns out as wolf then great we caught 1 but we have no clue who the others are because we spent 2 days with Muriel and nothing else.
If she turns up as villager then what? Good chance we lynch you and/or Sir Percival. Your decision if this is a good path for the village.
That's why I say let Muriel be for tomorrow. See what she does and search for other wolves. We have several people who have done nothing but lurking so far. Don't give them a chance to hide again behind a Muriel-waggon tomorrow. If you are still convinced she is scum on D3 then hunt her again.
BTW: novice had just 60 posts when he was lynched D3 Muriel has now already 45

Day two approaching, and I haven't reread, but I've organized my thoughts somewhat. I think I have figured out who 12 of the players are. Now I just have to figure out if they're their scum or villager persona. We sure would have saved ourselves some work by skipping the anonymous setup!
Joking aside, I had a random thought: The first thing I would do as scum in this game is ask my fellow scum players who they really are. What I WOULDN'T do next, is speculate in the game thread who the other players are. I thought this was worth a mention. But now that I've written it out, I suppose I would maybe have chosen to remain anonymous in the scum thread too, both for the fun factor and to avoid "knowing too much" in the game thread.
Ho hum. Sorry for the useless post. Let me add that I have a feeling I will feel like lynching a lurker tomorrow.

Villages because they don't usually lie and wolfs because it steps up a 50% chance to kill a wolf on the first attempt and 100% chance of killing a wolf if the village guesses wrong.
Let's put aside feelings about meta discussion. You claim that the town will be safer if there is a mass-claim of real identities. There is no reliable method to verify anyone's claim. You justify this by saying no wolf would ever counter-claim an identity reveal, which has merit. You're revealed now and this gives you credibility for what exactly?
It appears that you write this to establish some credit for being honest or perceptive. I don't know see why you should get any. Your real identity has nothing to do with your alignment in this game.

You claim there is only one faction, then you make a general softclaim. It's not definitive, similar to my argument above, but it tells me there's an increased probability that you do, in fact, have an ability. You've identified yourself, also as a villager with likely with an ability, and became a target. Are you just trying to build town cred or save yourself?

While I find it hard to believe that a wolf would rather go on an attack like that than stay low, I find it even harder to believe that a villager would be so convinced of someone's guiltiness right off the bat that they would go on such an attack. Especially when I know that the person you are attacking is a villager, and one of the few contributors so far.
Eh? Buddies?
Still not entirely caught up, but this post was very, very bad. Typical wolf commenting on small things, especially considering last point was already adressed and refuted before the post. Likely wolfy wolf thought he saw a slip and went for the mislynch.
Voting Elizabeth was also bad.
I wonder what made people not vote for this gal here... I'd vote vote vote this Easy Sarah if I had been playing on day 1 ( ).
