Sian Full Random - Cyrus of Carthage

Ruff - Fred (Philo / Org) of Japan
Sian - Cyrus (Char / Imp) of Carthage
Twinkle - Hammurabi (Agg / Org) of Celtic
Mardoc - Augustus Caesar (Ind / Imp) of China

well ...

think that me or Mardoc got the best draw of the lot, while Twinkle probably got the weakest ...

tough start ... many things that i could do, many things that could go wrong ... I'm thinking Warrior SE (to the Forested Plain hill) and unless it finds something great, then move Settler W ....

absolutely nothing interesting to the east, so i moved west ... hmm ... one off coast and might block out a ton of seafood ... gotta think about that, but Pigs and Plain Cows are, if not great then at least decent enough to go around ...

That said ... i have rather crappy techs for this start, Fishing and Mining so Worker first might not be worth it ... growing to size2 before building it might be worthwhile ... if settling where my settler is now it'll be a hammer capital through ... 16 hammers at size5 (and Stonehenge would make sense since I'm Charismatic)

Not really anything that interesting happening ... explored a bit (apparently i'm to the north as i can spot tundra near my warrior) ... found a nice river to cottage the heck out of (with at least 2, maybe 3 decent cities to work them)

that said, i'm happy that i didn't burn some seafood with Soccer ... had a hut 2w of the capital and sneaking a peak at f6, i just popped Bronze Working :D ...

hmm ... should play around with a sandbox looking at if its viable to revolt to slavery already and whip out the worker ... guess it depends on if i can get Animal husbandry fast enough ... might be worth it to grab a worker and grow to size 4 and whip a settler then ... hmm ... thinking

there's a reason why we usually don't play with huts ...

popped bronze working AND iron working now :D ... don't honestly except me to use them atm, but still ... quite handy

You, Yourself and your Shadow by R_Rolo

Recommended reading for Isolation games really ... Charismatic is reasonable enough of a trait for this type of start (my only happy resource is Spices), but Imperialistic is questionable at best

Have to decide which direction i want to move the game ... initial thoughts would be researching Sailing->Masonry and build Great Lighthouse ASAP, and then decide how to build my cities ... should i pack them on the coastline or have few massive cities running Cottage heaven ...

as of tech path ... to Calender/Monarchy/Currency, and then Optics afterwards (some exploration with Caravals), trying to grab 2 GS's along the way to bulb Astro ... prehaps grabbing Guilds at some point in the road and explore the ocean with Galleons with Knights on ... a Navy will be important as to lay a ring around my island so they can scout for enemy ships looking shifty

Checked all corners ... i'm completely isolated ... any land is at least 4 water tiles away

after flying a bit around I suspect some land ~4-5 tiles south-Southeast of my island

How's it going?

rather quiet ... just about to build my second to last city (at the Spices and the Flood plains to the northeast) only needing 1 more settler for a filler down to the far southeast

Currently researching towards Optics which is going to be followed by 1 or 2 Great Scientists bulbing Astronomy so i rule the seas and can get some cities on whereever there might be room (used my first Great Person, a Prophet out of Stonehenge in Soccer, for bulbing Theology so i have religion)

also ... deliberately not connecting my iron as i'm running on massed Warriors for happyness (for which i would otherwise only have spices and religion)
