Also I don't like the idea of doing a half-guessing lynch today, flip two villagers, and then having to spend day three lynching Mary because she shows up with a vote and a weak post.
I have the same question as john. Why would scum mary heavily hint that Muriel is town?
Because Mary spent all of day one trying to ease herself around from a town read on Muriel to a scum read.

Okay, I would probably vote Mary without thinking if she posted at all after the first day. The fact that she failed to do so makes the possibility of a mod-kill very high. Or maybe she is like Bruidine in ww3 and does not want to play anymore. I dunno.

Sister Mary is far better to hang than Muriel.

Kate is better than both though.
There is no suspicion ofMuriel by Kate on day 1 and then she locks in on her immediately after the Friar hangs. She doesn't want to say anything during day 1 to get people to vote Muriel then but is way too eager and doesn't look elsewhere ever since. I think Kate wants to turn one misslynch into two

When Mary comes online to make a self-defense vote I am dead. Am I really going to be lynched when there isn't even a case against me? Agnes was the only one to actually make a somewhat proper case on why she finds me the scummiest, and even that was full of questionable logic and false facts as pointed out by both me and Rose. But still she did a better job than anyone else voting for me. I have the most posts out of anyone, but there still isn't enough to make a good case against me? Are we really going to have a majority that lynches someone on Day 2 on the basis of gut feeling and tone?

You have more influence on you, even with fewer votes. 26 vs 28. So if there is a tie, you die.

Here's a meta town tell on Muriel:
(July 20th, 2013, 13:02)Muriel The Slow Wrote: (July 20th, 2013, 12:33)Sir Percival Wrote: (July 20th, 2013, 11:46)Muriel The Slow Wrote: I believe Lady Elizabeth / Courage to be a villager. If he was a werewolf, he would not risk being instantly caught by faking a role-PM unsuccessfully. His information checks out, therefore I trust him. Now here's the thing. Any villager would have realized that his claim was true, so anyone who voted to lynch him should be kept an eye on. Those players are: Bert, Edith, Percival, Sarah. I doubt they are all wolves, but we at least have a higher chance to catch a wolf by picking one of these four than if we picked randomly.
ur tagline of slowness appears right. prove wolves dont know the village win condition. this is the silly meta gaming that makes village lose so often. vote for bad logic.
muriel
He described the information in the role-PM exactly like I would have done. Yes, he could be a wolf who made an incredibly dumb and risky move and got incredibly lucky to get it right. Yes, the game master might have created traps and such to prevent meta gaming. Those are both options that should not be discounted. But I believe him and for a Day 1 lead this is worth following.
I'm pretty sure scum wouldn't dare to reference the PM like that without knowing what was in it. (And I also agree with Muriel's description of it.)
Yes, Scarlet John did mention the possibility that scum had received the villager role PM privately. That seems awfully sneaky by the GM though. At any rate, Muriel's post was before the villager role PM was edited into the opening post. Proof below.

2- Know-Nothing Jon: Fat Rose, Kate the Waif
1- Lady Elizabeth: Easy Sarah
1- Half-Nose Harry: Know-Nothing Jon
1- Sister Mary: Lady Elizabeth
Not voting: Young Will, Simple Anne, Friar Andrew
Please let me know if I've missed anything; today is moving day, and only have phone access at the moment. Front post to be edited with a sample villager Role PM.

Muriel, if someone would have told me that I would be voting like this yesterday I would not believed them either! This is a funny game sometimes
But you still are playing very sloppily. You need to take your own advice and slow down and read better

It probably makes not much sense to discuss your case now anymore John, but I'd like to point something out. You state you read only from page 30 onward. Yet, the first post from you after you got voted by Agnes was the following: (spoilers by me for the parts I'm currently not interested in but to keep them available if others want to review it in full)
John Wrote:Muriel seemed to be trying too hard to be "useful" at the start of day 1. Although her later posting was better there's too much revenge voting and I still find her suspicious.
Night kills are confusing because active players weren't killed.
Liz posting feels village regardless of the meta argument, which I still don't accept as valid in any way.
You had a good grasp - or at least gave that impression - on what Muriel and Liz both did D1, and also who was active and who not. So how do those statements of you - only having read from page 30 onward - and your statements after being called out on lurking match up? That's one of the reasons I think you are a wolf, because you stated you have no time yet were perfectly able to make statements about the game. Now again you state you just read from page 30, though those posts from earlier don't match that imo and instead show that you either have read carefully what was posted or somebody told you what to state as your 'reads'...
