5 axes and I go on vacation!
I think we should be able to deal with this.
Horses will be connected T78, I think. WC will help a lot.
Have fun, Jester! I'll respond through my Phone...

Have fun, Jester! I'll respond through my Phone... I don't want to get cocky but yeah, we should have no problem dealing with this. This isn't PB8.
I play the next turn of PB13 right?

Yes please . You are last one to play. Still over 10h in the clock so no big hurry.

Hmm...not so easy...
Wall St is actually building an axe. Spear would have been better but wouldn't finish in time. Right now just need more units although I'll try for a spear after the axe.
1 pop whip the axe then 1 pop whip the spear. The chop will help. Most likely an axe after the spear. Waterdeep will go axe->spear->axe. Redemption is building a spear then an axe. Unfortunately, we are still ~6t away from WCs. Looking back, it was probably a bad idea to ever let Gavagai hook up metal. He obviously finished hooking up the horses the turn he declared war (so we couldn't see them on the trade window) or soon afterwards. Four chariots suggest he whipped them the same turn the horse was online. The demos...
We are in some trouble. Might have to abandon Wall St. at some point but right now, better to try and hold the city.

They did double move us, so that probably gave away the chariots.
We need that city... lets put every unit we have in it he is attacking a city on a hill so should loose a lot.
If we have 5 or more units in Wall St, I think we can change to a spear and whip that next turn

I went ahead and kept our units in the city. He most likely takes Wall St. this turn since 4 chariots can reach plus the axes.
Most likely a mistake but then again we really needed a spear a few turns ago. Should have went Hunting THEN Fishing Archery but we didn't know Gavagai had horses. The moral of the story is to play like you would vs an AI (i.e. assume they have horse/copper/iron and prepare accordingly). Better to waste a few hammers on non-essential units than to not have them when it could have made a decisive difference. Spears (and archers) on a hill (guarding copper as well) and in backline cities make chariots just an annoyance. I remember saying we wanted archers available to settle Wall St. Archery before Masonry would have been the better tech path.
The spear will finish in 1t after the axe then back to another axe. We need the commerce to get to Archery (~3t) but after that I'll switch to the wheat so we can whip more units. Overview of the frontline...
The demos...
The war is taking a toll and unless one of us gets a decisive victory, the chances of winning the game for the victor is diminished greatly. Not a big fan of early war. Much better long term to develop economy and expand.

Agree with you on the damages of early war. Keep whipping... :-)
In the first shot, you have 3 axes outside of waterdeep? What are they doing this turn? Maybe better to stack on the copper tile...
