Where exactly is created item located?

On behalf of our new member TwilightSparkletheAlicorn I have created this thread.

Of what is left, personally for me one of the most interesting things to know is "Where exactly is created item located?" Well, the obvious reason is "Fortress Town tile", but it is not as right as it seems. The thing is, after your empire expands (I do not know the exact factor, but it is possibly the amount of towns or/and movements of summoning circle), the item is not summoned in any of my towns (heroes in them cannot pick it up freely)! Yes, I can still teleport it to the vault for free, but I'd like to know where my item is created.

I have made a first investigation in the code.
It appears that any item can have 8 possible locations.
It can be with either of your 6 heroes, it can be in the vault, and it can be at an item location, which is tracked by its coordinates.
When you want to transfer the item to a hero for free, that hero has to be in the same place as the item obviously.

I can see that the item coordinates are set on various occasions including:

• Lair that yields an item
  
• Hero that dies in combat
  
• The spells earthquake, nature wrath, death wish, great unsummoning, chaos rift, black wind
  

I have added the item location to the Tweaker (available in the next release) so we can monitor it.

If you're interested, I've released a new version of the Tweaker as you can see in this thread.
I already had a number of new features that I just hadn't released yet.
So this was as good a time as any.
In particular it now shows the data relevant to the item location in the MEM:Game Data section.
Note that it may take a couple of hours before the version on the main page is updated.
Anyway, the new version is 0.2.7.
