[Spoilers] Fintourist and Old Harry have nothing to see here

Turn 21

I've put our new guy on the forest to gather nuts and berries (that right?) Is this maintenance reduced from .22 to .17 by our Agg bonus? Also there is a panther sitting to our South East. Watching for settlers.

Lunch moved onto the floodplains but then got nervous and jumped onto the forest here. I think the grass hill would be the best next move and that the plains hill will make a good commerce city at some point (if there is food).

Finally at home, 16h working day.. crazyeye I went and switched that tile!

Since we don't have BW yet in the near future working 3x PH Forest and 3x Grassland mine should be the way to go. That gets us work boat in 6 turns with 30/30 hammers and lets us grow to size 3 the turn after. At that point we want to work unimproved fish, because that gets us BW one turn earlier. I have made enough sims that I'm pretty certain that this is the optimal way of playing the first ~26 turns of our start (when we take fishing first as granted) crazyeye My uncertainty begins after we grow to size 3 and need to start either settler or a worker..

Hopefully we reach weekend before that decision though!

EDIT: And I agree with the next scouting move. Let's keep fingers crossed for a late hut!

Cool, I think I tried to log in a minute after you...

I've updated my spreadsheet with those moves - do we put a single hammer into a warrior t27 to grow? Hydra and I both suspect the worker is the better way to go, but I'll try simming it out a bit myself tomorrow.

Yeah, that's at least now the plan smile

That would be nice! I should have a peaceful weekend with time for proper simming and I finally try to come up with a plan covering everything until T50!

Turn 22

Moved Lunch to the hill to discover dye and rice. I'm torn between moving SE and E-E here - E-E reveals a 1-tile lake and the forests beyond, while SE gets us a tile ahead on revealing potential future city sites. Any preference?

dtay still hasn't put any EPs on us, we're about four turns from getting his graphs.

I'm undecided, E-E and then maybe S-SW sounds ok! Who knows, maybe there are still huts out there.. We have pretty much covered the spots for our next cities, so now it's all about keeping the scout alive and unfogging as many tiles as possible..

I repeat! We deserve a 3rd hut! crazyeye So many opponents have already gotten techs out of them..

Of course if we try to get our scout around to help settling our 2nd city we need to start preparing.. But I guess we try to manage with 1 warrior..
