TN - Library [3] - it is actually 28/60 hammers, still a double whip. So, next turn, double whip library for about 40 hammer overflow and TN down to size 4. I've moved a worker to a forest to chop into TN (approx 10 hammers), so I should be able to double whip the Uni pretty soon.

So TN gets whipped down from size 6 to size 2 but it has bananas so it should regrow pretty quickly. I'll also have to whip DV and BS too. Hopefully, I can mm it enough to get any whip overflow in DV to go into The Globe.

Lost a spy in Sooooo's territory - at his military city / blocker. He also finished his Heroic Epic there this round - expect him to start pumping troops there again. I will be whipping the Uni at DV with the overflow going into The Globe (it is finally open). The Library at TN didn't turn out that bad - huge whip overflow and forest chop and it is completing naturally next turn - no whip required.

My gold revenue jumped 20g when I finished the Grocer at LQ. The courthouse at BH probably helped some too. I would like to get a Market in there before I start Oxford but I think it is more important to get the hammers from the Conf buildings. Maybe I put 1 turn into the Market and whip it with the overflow going into Oxford - that will be an expensive whip.

Dang - forgot to cancel the stone deal - will ask Dreylin to do it.

A couple of post turn things ...

• dreylin declared on mh - hope that goes well. I am unsure what ath will do ... honour NAP or break it
  
• I just remembered that I have left a worker unprotected on the sooooo border - I did have 3 units sitting on it but if he wants it - he can can take it with or without the protection (knights easily kill maces in the open)
  
• Dreylin reports that he cannot return the stone - 5 turns to go and it isn't a trade option for him. I will look at it my turn but expect I will have to pillage it - hope that works but I expect the following message 'Ruff has -1 stone' - if push comes to shove - I will declare war on Dreylin (want to see his face when I do that!) - sure, we lose our trade peace bonus but trade routes are only 2 (3 at most) at the moment, doesn't seem much
  
• I got a AP vote option last turn ... the only option was 'stop trading with athlete' - that didn't work out that well last time so I selected 'nuttin' - wish Dreylin had declared 1 turn earlier - might have got a 'declare a holy war on mh'
  
• I thing TOG is ahead of us in the race to rifles ... actually - I think it is going to be pretty close to rifles once I turn research back on ... but they will beat us to cavalry

I whipped the Uni at DV - the overflow will go into The Globe

I couldn't cancel the stone trade with Dreylin so I had my longbow pillage that tile. It is important that I get it reconnected (I am starting Oxford next turn). Lucky for me I had 2 workers, so ...

a) they could both get to the tile in question with movement points to spare
b) only needs 4 worker turns to reconnect (2 this turn, 2 next turn - perfect for hammers into Oxford and into the Statues at AC!)

I had '-1' stone after the pillage, but the sweetest message was waiting until after I ended my turn ...

I love Amazon! My graphics card died so I ordered a new card last Thursday and they said the delivery time between Oct 14 and 18. It turns up today - installed and civ4 is back - yay.

Something is going on with mh money. Either he is gifting it away or he is upgrading units.

But the super duper big news for this turn is ... I finally popped Sullla's gold / iron hut and I got a tech! Compass - woo hoo. I could have got astronomy if I had cleared the pre-reqs.

I've also swapped my military cities away from buildings to units - been totally flat on the power graph for a while and sooooo and mh have jumped above me. Wish I could get that iron back and build a few cannons / pikes. Don't want sooooo to get any stupid ideas. Oh - and my workers connected the stone to power Oxford .
