Only if we whip the settler to completion. If we chop then it won't
So if we 1 pop whip and wait on the chop, the city settled 2T quicker than if we chop? Sounds like whip/road and then chop later to me.

So right now I'm thinking we road with the worker and whip the settler next turn (t36). Then follow that up with another 1-pop whip on another worker 2 turns later (t38). Then chop out a third worker 3 turns after that (t41).
New city would be founded on t38, and would reach size 3 by t45, then have mined copper on t47.
Tech should go Pottery -> Sailing?

Yep, I'm on board with the plan. Played the turn.
Archer should probably go SW next to keep an eye on the city plant area for barbarians and such. Speaking of, Bill Walton will need to fight off a lion.
And our southern scout sees that Lewger have some fairly nice stuff down there:

Hopefully there's seafood up north to go with that gold!

It would have been funny if Com wandered his scout southish and walked past your unguarded settler in the next few turns. Gotta love that enforced peace.

Turn 036
Turn rolled, and once again I don't know whether to laugh or cry.
Good news first! Bill Walton survived. He's healing in place, since he survived with only 52 hp.
And now the sad news:
If you thought we were pissed at Commodore being our neighbor, imagine how these guys feel.
Brick, I know you're an honest gent, and so you probably did a truly random roll. But if there was ever a time to fudge the numbers and not tell anybody about it, I think people would have understood.
Oh, and I finished the road and whipped the settler. Next turn the worker should chop the forest that he's standing on.

That's Azza's second city, not his capital.

Still, that's really close to Lewwyn. Closer than they were in pb8, I'd guess.

Well, I wouldn't be surprised if Azza's second city is quite a bit distant from his capital.

What do you think about going for Animal Husbandry instead of Sailing after Pottery? I think the only reason to get Sailing is if we're willing to build a lighthouse and a pair of galleys for circumnavigation, and I'm not sure we'd be ready for that. Or do we want to prioritize it that much that we do go for Sailing next?
I'm thinking we want to get our third city and fourth worker out before we start going Lighthouse -> Galley, and that would give us time to fit in AH before Sailing. And I figure we're going to be using chops to help get these out. Do you think that's good timing or should we do it sooner? Later?
