I haven't read all your reports so this is probably already shown, but what is the resource east of the whale? Is it corn or sugar? You should turn on resource bubbles once in a while...

You know, you make a good point Noble. Maybe if you did read the reports you would see that I do occasionally put on resource bubbles on overview shots, but because they obscure the city details I can't leave them on all the time.
And it's sugar.

Hey I checked the last three or four reports and none of them had resource bubbles. I'm well aware that they obscure the city details.

Well the T44 turn report is going to have resource bubbles because I'm intending to talk about different dot maps.

I'm writing T44 report now, but we've already played T45.
To put this into perspective the turn rate now is now over 2 turns a day, PB14 started 10 days before us and is playing T38/T39, barely averaging 1.3 turns/day.
Caledorn, you mentioned wishing your games were as efficient as this? Look on the downside: there isn't time to discuss what needs to be done right now, only to discuss what has to happen over the next dozen turns. They aren't great for learning via doing. All that said, if this pace gets kept up I think the game will be over before Christmas.

Yeah, you have a very good point there, Krill. But I wasn't all that serious to be honest. It's nice to see a game progress quickly, but this is a bit too fast.
As the Americans learned so painfully in Earth's final century, free flow of information is the only safeguard against tyranny. The once-chained people whose leaders at last lose their grip on information flow will soon burst with freedom and vitality, but the free nation gradually constricting its grip on public discourse has begun its rapid slide into despotism. Beware of he who would deny you access to information, for in his heart he dreams himself your master. - Commissioner Pravin Lal, "U.N. Declaration of Rights"

Turn 45
Yeah, it is getting a bit fast TBH. Not too fast to play, but too fast to adequately report. Luckily I've had this weekend off (since Thursday, woo) to catchup, but I'm back to uni tomorrow with a dissertation, separate essay, presentation and placement to deal with, so there is a possibility that I have to slow down the reports. Or get a secretary I can dictate to.
