[SPOILERS] Team Unpronounceable Unicode Symbol: True Grit

I think there shall be a countdown to the difference between myself and Kuro in regard to points. Just to keep me on my toes. **Kuro minus 40**

Hi. Was in game and did my turn but got called out to work early, unable to post until now. No screens available from current location. Update tomorrow with more.

Oxy increased stack to 43, Suttree to 29 apparently gaining one horse archer per turn. I have precious little to aid Oxy with, have to defend my own at this time.

My increasing worry is BGN coming to visit after gaining some tech or other. I look forward to dual 20 stacks descending from two sides at once, one from Renewal, the other towards Thesis. Then, 10 turns later, final push against my last settlements and GeeGee.

I lost a tile to BGN culture and my opponent gained a few points **Kuro minus 51** dammit. But my missionary is ready and able to spread culture in Thesis next turn.

Thank you.

I am pondering a theory which states that if I go to war against Suttree, he may be distracted for just long enough that Oxy may hand him his arse once again. Does this compute?

It's sure possible. Suttree started this game strong, but his PB13 play shows that he can be demoralized rather too easily. Taking back your cities is a good goal, especially since it's compatible with the general "build only spiky things" plan.

If it sounds like fun, go for it! :-)

880 AD / turn 154

First off, an announcement I should have made before, but looks better when I post it at the same time:
Quote:800 - Retep's GA start
820 - Xenu's GA start
840 - Suttree GA start
880 - WilliamLP's GA ends

Trouble coming for Oxy. Suttree has a Golden Age as of 2 turns ago. Bureaucracy+Caste System change for Suttree.
Stacks: 43 oxy vs 34 suttree. Check the screen.

It looks bleak for that wartime theory of mine.

On my own homefront I got growth in 3/1/3/6 turns. Workers building mine for Thesis. Lesson has 2t longbow incoming.

I thought getting the graphics on Kuro would get me some uptime, not so. Unless he gets involved in wartime there is low chance that I get to pass that score, yet I will keep the tally, keep the building, keep the hope rocking strong. Here's a funny thing. Thesis got religion all of it's own. I now have a missionary that I do not need, as such. Damn, that's 3 turns of defender build I lost. Goes to show you can plan for the best and get good stuff that kinda cramps thy style as well. Heh.

On with the Kuro graphics:

Oxy just whopped me with a suggestion that I was so perplexed to get, that I immidiately turned it down before screencapping it. Damn. Ok, here goes.

Oxy wants me to give up:
Thesis, Renewal.
Cow+another resource
3 gold.

In return, I get from Oxy:
Sinpo(43 stack city).
I get Iron, Horse.
3 gold

At first I was like, what? In addition, Oxy stated in-game chat "can you pause game for next player" so I turned down the offer to write back "Will do"

There's a bit of a muddy history in these AI diplo games of communication via the trade screen. The chances he actually wanted you to take that trade are approximately zero. ...what else do you suppose he could mean?

Specifically the 3g <=> 3g seems odd... any ideas?

After writing back, I realized I had turned it down without thinking it through. If I give him those two cities, he has topside advantage against Suttree and I can liberate a number of troops to move on Knoxville.
This be no cheese gifting, it actually opens up a venue that makes a wartime effort feasible. Of course, my Kuro countdown will suffer greatly but think what I can accomplish by succeeding!
