Not having a type "1337 <9000 E.N.I.G.M.A." machine readily available, I guess he is going to attack Suttree in 2 turns, advising me to whip axemen, gather forces from the two cities for the attack and wait for his signal and attack with him.

I think you're pretty close. Up to you if you want to do something with that information or not.
It's interesting that the offer he sent this turn was something you could actually accept as a trade if you wanted to...
hey quick note. If you're thinking of throwing in with Oxy, this would be the time to set up your turn order. Oxy plays after Suttree, so the gentlemanly thing to do would be to line up with Oxy. since you've been playing after Suttree anyway, just keep doing what you're doing.
Good idea to be prepared in case you want to jump in after their war starts.

Bugger... Knoxville just recieved a Musketman. With 9 STR it will make any attack on Knoxville a bloody massacre.
Eastern defenses are capable. chariot,spear,axe, archer on top of a hill city. A small city with 2 defenders(axe/archer seen six turns ago) between that and knoxville. Suttree has done a good job with his GA. I now have 4 longbowmen in 4 cities. Oxy has declared war on Suttree, but not moved any troops. He has over 1k gold and gaining about 260 pr turn. Methinks that large stack of Horse Archers is about to get some serious steriod abuse going on.
