Finally found that last item of equipment to complete all 22 achievements. Had to push on to NG+++ to finally the Dark cape to drop, but it finally did. My hero was level 397 by that point...pretty ridiculous. Of course in NG+++ half my heirs did not live for more than a handful of rooms, and several died even more quickly than that. A random bad room is essentially a death sentence at that difficulty.
Is there any way to reset to New Game mode and start over? Or do I have to uninstall/re-install to reset everything? I would like to try the game again with the knowledge and skills I have developed. I suspect NG will seem pretty easy, even without any upgrades to my heirs -- much fewer projectiles. NG+++ just isn't any fun to play, I only stuck with it to get that last achievement.

I think it should be enough to delete/move your save file which is located in
Documents > SavedGames > RogueLegacy

When you're on the title screen, opening the normal options menu will give you the chance to delete your savegame. (It will prompt you twice to make sure you aren't doing so by mistake.) This is the best way to start over again from the beginning.

I spotted that after I used Gustaran's suggestion, which also seemed to work OK. Oh well. I don't often spend much time looking at the title screen. And the options from the castle/start area don't offer the delete save option, so it is not exactly obvious. Anyway, clearing the save file seems to work fine.
No vampirism is a tough readjustment. And wow are low level heirs fragile, with so little health and almost no armor. But the non-upgraded versions of the enemies balance things out. Especially the projectile enemies.
So of course my second heir walks into a room with three McRibs (top version bone throwing skellies). But the room had three chests, so I can't really complain. I don't recall seeing that room configuration before, and I thought I had seen most of them by now.

Here's my personal best gold total to date:
483k with a Barbarian in NG+++ (one higher difficulty level than I normally go). This was a really nice run, clearing all four areas of the dungeon along with Herodotus and the final two bosses. I should have left the other bosses uncompleted; I almost certainly could have cleared them as well, and that would have put this character over the 500k barrier. Ah well. I did this without benefit of the treasure-guessing minigame, which could potentially result in much higher scores. It didn't exist in this particular dungeon. (I also hate having to stare at that black and white screen with Colorblind trait for a run that takes over an hour!)
I will put together my Barbarian notes into a formatted webpage sometime over the next week, and then probably try my hand at Lich next, as requested.

Well, a fully upgraded barbarian is basically a force of nature.

Very impressive run, Sullla! I look forward to the Barbarian report -- I am sure I will learn from it, as I have from your other reports. A lich run next would be excellent.
Any chance of a new segment of the Babylon Always War game? Or are you focusing on Rogue Legacy for now?

Barbarian writeup is finished and up on the website. I am tackling the Lich class next, as requested in this thread. Is the Barbarian the most overpowered class in this game? Well, the jury is technically still out on that one.
(But the answer is yes.)

Learned new vocabulary while reading Sullla's report: "pizzazz". Didn't know that one.
I am looking forward to more class reports!
I wonder if strongest class is relative here? It might depend on how far you want to go. Maybe another class is weaker earlier but can make it through NG+5 better due to higher damage? Well, I hope we will find out!

Spellsword starts pretty meh, but gets ridiculous around NG++, because it gets to the point where you can fire a dozen empowered spells for each sword hit you land. A lot depends on drawing a good spell, though. Chakram spellsword would be my choice for NG+5
