[SPOILERS] Team EggHeads: DMOC and TeddyKGB (Now Lurker-Friendly!)

Team GG finished their turn, so it's fine if we can play. Still, I'd stick with what I suggested, but let me know if you disagree on any of the following points. (Repeated again here for convenience):

-I'd offer OB to Yuufo, as we promised.
-I'd also offer OB to Blame Caledorn
-Retep can move 1-2, which won't make contact with team GG yet, but then on turn 71 we can go 6-3 and likely see that city. What do you think? Gives us some leverage to have that chariot right there...
-I think we just need 1 chariot to cover the worker; I'm fine with 99% odds. Are there any other warriors around that can serve as 'backups'? Carnegie Mellon will prob be unhappy if its warrior leaves, though... but if if we whip MIT this turn for 2 pop we might be able to put its warrior into CM, and then put CM's warrior on top of the worker with the chariot without losing population points to unhappiness.
-I'm not sure I'd whip MIT -> Axe. Possibly Whip and put overflow into worker, then regrow to size 4/5 -ish while building an axe and then complete the worker there. Thoughts? I don't see the need for us to have an axe right now, and the worker would give us immediate benefit. MIT, for instance, probably should get 1 more mine and 1 more farm since Carnegie Mellon will eventually need the pigs to regrow.
-Do we have a scouting warrior that can get visibility into Cheer? I'd like to know what size it is.
-Worker actions: if we've got free workers by Cornell, priority now is roading to Cheer and farming floodplains, right? Then after that they both can road to and connect the stone?
-What city is going to build the settler for our seventh city, and where will we be placing it? If our break even rate is still at 60% then we are not expanding fast enough!

Still need to get a good message to GG ... but if we don't meet them until next turn it's fine if we don't have one immediately at hand.

EDIT:

Current cities:

(7) Vicky/India (CB): Turns 28, 37, 42, 50, 58, 59
(5) Pacal/NA (SutOxy): Turn 36, 43, 59, 63
(5) Sury/Byz (Us): Turn 33, 50, 58, 66
(5) Isabella/Inca (Yos): Turn 33, 46, 62, 67
(4) Ragnar/Rome (GG): Turn 38, 54, 60
(4) Willem/Ottoman (M & Ast.): Turn 38, 52, 62
(4) HC/Dutch (Orgy): Turn 42, 56, 67
(4) Mansa/Zulu: Turn 38, 53,6 9
(3) Darius/England: Turn 39, 55
(3) Nap/Sumeria (Pony): Turn 49, 63

I'm not sure what Darius/England and Napoleon/Sumeria teams are doing this late with only 3 cities...

Current NAPs:

-Asterix to Turn 90 (He hasn't responded to our T120 extension proposal)
-Orgynized to Turn 90
-Care Bears to Turn 100
-Eagles/Condors (Sut/Oxy) to Turn 100
-Blame Caledorn to Turn 120

These are all the teams we've met, by the way.

Sent this to Blame Caledorn:

Quote:Hello,

If your capital is southeast of the silver tile, then I'm not sure we're exactly north-south neighbors, but there's still probably a good chance we'll eventually share a border. (Did you mean southwest of the silver tile instead?)

Yes, all the teams we've met have been north of the snow/tundra area. We're doing our best to contact the remaining four teams.

Now to the important stuff:

-We confirm the NAP to turn 120.
-We confirm that we will stop spending EP after getting your data.
-We confirm that we will offer open borders as soon as possible (not sure if it will be turn 70 depending on who plays, but should be on turn 71 at the latest)
-As for the border agreement, the ice/tundra seems to make it easier for us, as it makes little sense for us to settle cities in the center of that region. Still, we do not currently have a silver resource, and are thus hoping to settle our sixth city in that location to hook up our silver. (The city center will almost certainly be north of the silver, as we would prefer to minimize the amount of tundra/ice in it.) We confirm that our plans for the near future do not involve settling south beyond that silver city.

We'll continue to be in touch with your team regarding other matters in the near future.

Sincerely,
DMOC of Team EggHeads

Short reply. I could finish the turn in 1-2 hours.

- OB with Yuufo ok. Asterix still mute after 'mortal danger' 5 days ago, wonder if we have ally still.

- OB with Yos. I wanna clarify some things first. What about no-scouting? I generally want quechua go contact CareBears instead walking through our culture. This way we got some extra spawnbuster in the area we need most right now. Also, I'd like to get confirmation from Yos they agree to confidentiality in diplo.
We've got OB with every team we've met. At some point we should choose our trade partners and close borders with some other teams.

- Yes, I agree about 'retep'. I hope Yos didn't spoil our surprise for Rome. I don't like to move the chariot away from city#6 spot, but we have Yos's warrior in the area for now.

- Ok. 99.1% should be pretty safe gamble. There is a chance barb wouldn't attack anyway and move toward Stanford or CM.

- But we are agree to whip worker now in MIT and put big overflow into something?

- We'll take a look at Cheer soon, but if we move northern warrior now there is a chance barb appear close to UC. Our chariots is busy right now, but after dealing with barb and Cornell borders expand we might have them as a backup.

- Currently 2 workers near Cornell. Their next task after establish TR with India would be riverside cow pasture. Farm flood plains after, most likely. 3rd worker join them soon and chop into library.

- UC will grow to size5 fast and most likely produce settler for city#7. Current slider, if thats matter, should be at 40-50% breakeven; 20-30% after silver city planted. I'll check in game later.

Okay, I'll re-send a message over to Yossarian/Caledorn.

-Cornell-yes, forgot about the cow for a sec. crazyeye That's better.
-Yes, whip worker now in MIT, put overflow probably into another worker, possibly an axe (but I'm not seeing the need for one now, but we can always debate this next turn).
-have you considered the possibility of shifting MIT's and CM's warriors over to cover stanford after we whip MIT? (only if this doesn't cause extra unhappines, though)

Thanks for playing the turns Teddy. Got the fellowship application due on Nov 4...

No problem. I hope you'll have more free time soon to play turns yourself.
I'm feeling like playing too much.

Are you agree to risk loosing worker at 0.9% odds?
I was gonna put just one chariot to cover him this turn.

Can we shift warriors from MIT to CM, and then from CM to that worker? MIT might lose 2 pop due to whip, so -1 happiness, and then -1 more for lack of city defenders, but it is size 3 so should still be okay, I think (?)

Yes, we kinda can. Actually MIT warrior should go to UC next turn if we want it to grow.

I dont like moving warrior out of CM cause we had to put chariot in CM then. And that chariot should cover tile between Cornell and copper for one more turn.
Also, there is a big chance barb won't attack, but move toward Stanford or CM instead.

I think 99.1% is pretty safe bet, but if you think otherwise we could put 2nd unit on top of the worker. In that case, there is a small chance barb appear on the wrong spot next turn and we could lose Cornell to barb if unlucky.

Gotta go to sleep now but I'll leave it up to you. I'm fine with 99% odds.

My understanding is that the MIT warrior can go to CM, the CM warrior can cover the worker as a backup to the chariot, and the chariot we have north of CM now can stay there to defend 4 cities at once.

MIT is 3 tiles away from CM so it would be 1 turn of unhappiness in CM.

Anyway finish the turn with only 1 chariot cover worker. Report in 15-20 min.

Turn 70 - 1200 BC

Yos offered OB in game, I decline cause we waiting reply about no-scouting.
Their Quechua moved on top of silver. Hope we can talk them into keep moving him NE direction, thats help Cornell and projected city#6 safety.

Move 'retep' 1-2 and saw something interesting. Next turn we should take 2nd half after GG and surprise them a bit. Unless Yos spoil that surprise.

1 chariot should be enough to protect worker. There is some chance barb avoid battle also. If we lose 99.1% fight and lose the worker, I take full responsibility.

Offer OB to India, as our deal goes.
Adjust EP on LP and OS like 3:1. Next turn we'll get 43EP on LP and should turn it off.

Whip MIT 2pop into worker with huge overflow. We could 1t Axe next and almost 1t worker. Or put overflow in settler and regrow to size4 fast.

Btw, if we lose 99.1 : 0.9 fight, there is 0.9% chance I'll run naked around my block, screaming: 'wtf?? ragequit!!11'.
