Sullla (or Brick), if you could split the thread from this post that would be great.

Ichabod's post #154 belongs in the first thread though.

What happens when 2 cities cross the great person threshold on the same turn? Presumably only one city spawns the GP and resets, the counter goes up by 100, and the other city keeps counting? How is the order decided?
Reply

Production is done city by city in the order shown in the domestic advisor.

One of the teams did a bunch of testing of this in a recent pitboss, didn't they? 8?

Yes, PB8. Though the "team" itself didn't do much, but several lurkers did. And hey, best part about it? The team reported sooo poorly you should easily find the discussion on GPP-spawning mechanics.

(If you didn't guess it by now, it was my thread that was discussed in.)

Vs the AI, accepting a demand enforces a 10-turn peace deal. Does this work in multi-player too? I.e. if I gift someone a resource and they accept, does it trigger a peace treaty?

Yes...but your example isn't included.

Quote:I.e. if I gift someone a resource and they accept, does it trigger a peace treaty?
No. It has to be a demand, not an offer. And not a trade, either. So if someone demands your copper and you agree, you've got peace. If you offer the copper first and they accept, you don't.

Thanks! Next question. For city visibility from passive espionage, I've seen this formula:

Quote:Passive Missions
Base Factor * (100+How much they have against you)

Demographics=0.3
City Visibility=1.2
Investigate=2
See Research=0.75

And that probably matches the number in the ctrl+E screen. But it doesn't appear to be an all-or-nothing thing. Is there a per-city formula for a modifier as well? (E.g. distance, religion, ???) Does anyone know it?
