No, I'm not at war with anyone else as far as I can see.
Even if someone else declared on me, they get bumped, not me.
They actually moved (their movements were used up when I logged in).
Yes, I moved them last turn, so no they could not have been the auto-moves caused by the turn expiring and even if they were, they would have an available movement this turn anyway.

It's certainly possible that I misclicked a goto or an auto-explore before the end of the last turn but the fact is that these movements are not evaluated at least until during my turn and these units had moved well before I even logged into the game (I know this because Rego told me.)

How could this happen?

- Someone logged in to my civ without it showing up on civstats (I've been told this is possible though I have no idea how).
- I was wrong to assume that queued up unit moves (eg worker moves, goto, auto-explore, etc) can only be activated when you are logged in or when the timer expires.
- Any other ideas?

It is also worth noting that Daniel sent a request for gold from me last turn which I accepted. When I logged into the game this turn, I was then asked for that gold another 4 times, each of which I accepted and the gold was still not transferred I think. Is there some really weird glitch going on?

I think go-to orders execute at the start of every turn.

As soooo pointed out, they take effect right at the start of the following turn. Dreylin had a similar problem with a worker ages ago in the PBEM IIRC.

I'll also note that it's possible to issue "go-to" orders without actually clicking "Go To" or even using the mouse at all. When moving a unit by number keypad, it's possible to hit an extra key to issue extra movement orders to the unit even after it's finished moving, and that order will be queued and executed at the next login next turn.

Auto-explore certainly does. It allows some units to outrun human enemies - for instance, an automated worker cannot be captured by a logged-in human if the worker was automated with more than 8 seconds to go in a turn.

I was in the game as the turn rolled over, and I can attest that no one was logged in at that time to secretly move your units.

Ok well it seems likely that I accidentally clicked on auto-explore with those units and they moved at the start of the turn. How irritating. banghead

ohhh, you did a double move. If I read rego's thread correctly it's not 9 hours between your previous move and this auto move. smoke or jive

Yeah... once Imhotep complains about the double move, I'll have no choice but to acknowledge my rule violation and we'll have to reload the turn.

I can long into the site and answer questions or give instructions, but wont be able to access my civ computer. I can preset most builds and give directions. Mostly moving workers and killing barbs and stuff.

Can someone assist?

You could try posting over at civfanatics? The pitboss subforum is pretty active: http://forums.civfanatics.com/forumdisplay.php?f=258

You could also try Tactical Gamer: http://www.tacticalgamer.com/civilizatio...rdination/

Or another couple of sites that have active pitboss communities:

http://www.chaosciv.com/

Or one of your allies in this game could play for you? Since it's only a few turns at a time, and you're not at war with anyone, personally I wouldn't have any issue with it.
