Feel free. I thought a mish-mash of only marginally related stuff was amusing, but I think this game is all about ignoring the last guy and doing your own thing.
Note to teammates: don't use the "reply with quote" button. I had to avert my eyes and close the window when all of Q's spoilered text popped up .
I'll first deal with the ruin expedition then move onto more mundane thoughts.
We start out turn 25 with a lovely event
Which gives us exactly 1 gold
I suppose we could have recieved worst, but still the worst result for a positive event I have seen in a long time.
Our attack force moves out, full of hope and promise:
Within a few days, we arrive at the enemy encampment:
Acoustic gave his life for the cause. Against such might we knew his loss was inevitable:
But in his death he brought fresh hope to our force, for even as the reptilian bite ended his short, short life, he struck a mighty blow. When Commander Custard followed to avenge his fallen comrade, it took barely a swing to gut the beast:
Despite our pleas, Custard insisted on entering the lair alone, ordering his men to fan out, so as to suppress any fell forces he might awaken:
Great promise and power were rumored to be held within the foul ruins, but defended by great evil. What riches were held within its walls we shall never know, for no sooner did Custard venture into its gloomy dwellings then it began to collapse. He escaped, but only just:
We had vanquished the devil at our doorstep, but at what cost? While we bled in the south our enemy had not been idle. Holding had held them off thus far, but our golems could not continue their work with the shadow on them. It was time to return to our beloved 'Knife.
The assault may look a bit of a waste, with no rewards for our troubles, but any benefit from the ruin was very much an extra - we now have a secure backline and can focus on pushing forward. We even got a bit lucky, I'm not sure what the supply cap is but I was quite worried about being charged upkeep for that little force so that was a boon, and looking at the odds on that first warrior was quite frightening, but I was confident that we could take him with force of numbers alone. It's always very impressive how well that works.
Now this force will be continuing home to garrison the city/prepare for the founding of the second city. If I was in charge for the next few turns I would surround and explore the Broken Sepulcher, starting exploration next turn and using the mud golem and a warrior from the capital to surround it entirely in time, but I'm not. (I may still do it actually, though it seems a bit rude to have it started before the next persons set...)
Meanwhile on the economic side, I'm working the two plains forests and have been for the past two turns. This gives me exactly enough food to grow next turn, and the hammers allows me to overflow 7 hammers into the settler next turn, which should make it a 10 turn build.
The golem has just been farming whilst trying to dodge lizardmen. I set research for education as I think that's the most important goal for now, to really let us lay down improvements. The mining idea was foolish, we don't need that to kill lizards, force of numbers works fine. I would like to set up a cottage economy in general, as agrarianism seems a waste when the food surplus can only be used on settlers. I'm vaguely thinking about going for slavery at some point, hopefully when we are spiritual. Still, hardly my desicion
We're reaching the end of the turnset, Dave do you want me to delete my signs? They're not informative, so they should be fine, but let me know if you have a preference.

I deleted all of my signs when I turned the saved over to you, and I'm notorious for sign-spamming. So no signs, nothing in the build queue, nothing in the research queue.
So, I managed to land Dave (or Azarius) in a very pretty pickle :/
I started exploring the Sepulcher on T29, only to realise that we didn't actually have enough units to surround it entirely. I had been counting on having the unit exploring the lair as taking a spot, which is obviously not how it works.
So if we roll bigbad, then we may lose just off that. Of course, it's not guaranteed by any means, and a lot of the rolls we can handle at this point in the game, but still...not the best move. And I won't even know what happened for at least another 30 turns, if ever
Still, it's in the spirit of the thing after all.
I also forgot to rename the last two warriors, but eh well. We started the settler, due end of turn 38 if I remember correctly, and the mud golem moved to farm (protected) a river tile.

I'm confused. Turn 30 should have been the first one of the new turn set, but looking at the previous post, it appears that Q already played it. I have an email with turn 32 from Mardoc, but the tracker still shows us with turn 31.
Edit: never mind, it shows us having the turn in *game* number 31. I'm going to assume that Azarius has stepped in without any notification to the rest of us.
Yes I played. I had been reporting before we died in the other game, but tis the season of the fourteen hour workday for me, so any reporting I manage will be brief. I should have at least popped in to say that I had it, sorry for that.
So ya, very short on time so text only will have to do for most of this turn set. Hopefully Q left pictures to go by so this makes sense. Turn 31 a lizardman showed up to our NW. Given my ptsd involving lizards this was very unwelcome. Mud golem moved to farm riverside grass to west of capitol. Turn 32 had more bad news. A second lizard showed up to the north. Also, Q had a warrior popping the Broken Sepulcher and it finished this turn, spilling a named scorpion and 4 tigers onto our rice, by far the best tile we currently have available. I think I may be cursed. Also, golem finished the farm, lizards will disrupt where I'd like it to be next turn. Hurt warriors are still healing. Moved a full health warrior into the cap to keep our guerrila warrior company, no way am I chancing lizard death.
