Plako offered me to have the city for 10 turns., concurrently hinting that he has no fleet to take it back by force. I'll take that. I have no desire to upset him, more than I have anyway, so why bother blockading a Moai city in GA, if it gives me nothing?*
Besides, I'm just baby-sitting all my empire for the time when Plako is done with Dhalpir.
*FOR THE LULZ, BACCHUS!

Thanks for your enduring support, Celiazul! I don't have a real cause to complain, even if I managed not to take the city at all (something like 0.012 odds of that happening), the whole point of the game is avoid getting into situations where odds matter. Or pay for failing to do so, as I am doing — due to my position, the best I can do is choose which gambles to take. And taking even safe gambles, as this one, sucks.

So, WilliamLP also declared war on Retep. You know what I would like to do? Ambush the Inca stack in Khmer territory, where my troops are already present, that's what. Unfortunately, there is no way to do this in AI Diplo, especially as the only thing that I can do in terms of diplomacy is offer a peace treaty...

Retep went on tilt:
And got yet another general out of it, clearly some meaty low-odds victories. Didn't throw this general out into an attack though. This left me with enough troops to take his cap, but nowhere enough to hold it, so I accepted peace and withdrew my nice and experienced units out.
Plako sent a WB to check out the garrison in the captured city. I hid my triremes away, so hopefully he will try to retake with nothing but galleys.

I really don't understand why Fintourist has to sit in the game after playing the turn time and time again.

Plako flashed a trireme. Good to know. I'll bring in 2 HA's to complement my defending axe, one with formation and one with shock. Why HA's? Well, I'm worried that Plako will soon pop Machinery and come at me with Xbows. Moreover, the significant bonus here in any case is the amphibious landing penalty, 50%, which puts HA's at 9 strength versus axes' 7.5 Even with fortify and culture bonus, which HA's don't get, axes will not quite reach the 9 strength mark. The one issue with HA's is of course spear vulnerability, but that's exactly why having an axe there will be quite handy. Of course, Plako can pack two galley-fulls of XBows and another of chariots to do the trick, as well as bring a couple of triremes for defense, but I'm not sure the city is worth such a hammer investment to him at this stage in the game. All those troops would be failing to join an attack on Dhalpir, so why bother.
In terms of fleet, I will have three triremes and a galley for defense. Alas, there is no single tile of coast where I could pile that stack for defense. But we'll see.

I'd imagine everyone and their grandmother are commenting on the remarkable destruction of Nakor at a sustained rate of multiple cities per turn. I'm just happy that all that ass isn't coming over the straits towards me. It easily could, viking borders are already within sight after their most recent island settlement. (Sorry for no picture, I sadly have little time to contribute)
