Not much, one chop came in, another will be next turn, which will shave off the build by a turn. Those river grass tiles are good candidates for cottaging.
In the north, what I can do is cover the minechopping worker with a pair of warriors, hope they suicide on it, and then move on to rapidly cottaging other tiles. Unfortunately, I'll be forced to work a bare grass tile for a while.
2 warriors to guard the mine, even if the orc warriors try to bypass it and move onto the 50% defence forest hill, we can retreat back into the city and have excellent odds on the defence. At least those are the possibilities. I haven't played Civ4 for a long time.
Oh, and the screenshot didn't take, but the 2nd grass forest chop came in, speeding the settler build by a turn. Except... the city is now unhealthy. Whoops. I guess I really haven't played Civ4 for a long time.

I won't be able to take this set for the next few days, so if Azarius is able and willing to take it that would be awesome, and if not I'm going to have to request a pause.

Oh, I understand what you mean. I thought turnsets were from x0 to x9, and thought you wanted me to play another set of 10 turns (that I'm not able to).
So I sorta forgot to do any reporting for 60 and 61. I settled the new city you'll see in the screens, not sure if that's where Nic intended it to go, but that's the joy of this game. Capital is building another settler because it can't grow anymore and heck why not. There aren't tons of good sites nearby, I am sending a warrior down towards Letum Frigus to see if there is maybe some seafood to go with that pig. Turn 62 brought about this: Thankfully we had the cash. I always try to leave a slush fund of 100 to cover all the really good event chances. You don't always get them, but if I ever don't have the gold around, getting them seems guaranteed. Here is the shot before ending turn: I loathe building monuments, but I don't see any better way to pop borders anytime soon. I want access to some more hills at PF, and CoM could use the wheat and clams. Sculptors studios are a good ways off still, and expensive enough you don't necessarily want them in every city. PF definitely will, but doesn't really have the hammers to be building many golems. Religion is always an option, but the most likely religion for Luichirp doesn't come with culture, so, meh. I'd like to liberate the rice at GK from the damnable scorpion and his friends, but we don't have the oomph to do so just yet without leaving the borders unguarded from the constant stream of barbarians. As you can see in the shot, a warrior and skeleton are to the north. Turn before a warrior and lizard attacked and died, and there has been a fairly steady steam in every set I've played. So, if anyone is actually following this game, and has any questions at all I'd love to hear them, if nothing else so I know writing this serves a purpose.
