I used the 4 mana priest card that summons a random minion from your opponents deck onto your side of the board today in arena. First time I got a 3/3 Faceless Manip, second time I got a 1/2 Lightwarden (why did a hunter have this?) and finally when staring my 3rd defeat in the face I threw the dice one more time and prayed to whatever deity would listen that I'd get Deathwing or something similar. Naturally it rewarded me with a Novice Engineer.

Not taking that card again...

Ahaha. The thing is that most people in Arena don't know what they're doing. Most of the time, you can use this to your advantage, because you'll beat them. Some of the time it comes back to bite you, particularly if you're a Priest.

(Or maybe he put those minions in his deck to defend against Priests and their spells? Next level strats!)

I've been playing Druids in arena and have been really enjoying them. I think Druid is probably my favourite class in both constructed and arena... their spells seem the most satisfying to use somehow.

Swipe is excellent, and is particularly satisfying with spell power. Using Swipe is one of those situations where a random Kobold Geomancer can be huge value, even if most of the time it's not a particularly useful card to have in your deck! Wrath is really fun, because there are some situations where you can really use the 1 damage to draw a card rather than the 3 damage, particularly in conjunction with the hero power. (Normally, you'd rather use the hero power than a 1-damage Wrath, but both of them together give you a reach of 2 damage without losing a card). Some of the minions are excellent too - particularly Druid of the Claw and the two Ancients (Lore and War).

They're also one of the strongest classes in both arena and constructed, and will possibly become more so when the current FotM Warlock decks are either nerfed or fall out of favour more naturally.

#1 in EU, NA, and CN are primarily playing Druid right now, which basically guarantees they will quickly become very popular.

I read in a recent interview on Hearthpwn that some players start including the Black Knight because of the large amount of Druid decks with the Ancient of War.

I've been liking ranked constructed more and more. Just can't stand the randomness of arena in the long run. In constructed when I get beat, I can try new things in my deck and actively improve the parts that are lacking. It's fun! Right now the big downside of ranked is that people tend to just copy decks from top players and run those. Sometimes it gets frustratingly predictable, like that one time I ranted about here when I got like nine warlocks in a row with the same kinda deck. I don't think that the meta game is stale, rather opposite in fact (which is surprising considering how few cards there are), but it is still lame to see the same decks over and over even if they aren't unbeatable decks.

My tier list in constructed:

Tier 1:
Warlock
Rogue
Druid
Tier2:
Mage
Tier3:
Warrior
Paladin
Tier4:
Shaman
Priest
Tier5:
Hunter

Btw we've got at least 6 RB'ers that I know of on the EU server now. We could run a small tournament if you guys want to. Setup could be: a round robin first, with Top 4 moving to the next round, which would have #4 seed vs #1 seed, #2 vs #3. Then the final. Format could be same as Innkeeper's Invitational, that you get three decks, each different class, and each round you need to eliminate all 3 of your opponent's decks to win.

Yeah, the Black Knight is great; I've lost a fair number of games to him.
Merovech's Mapmaking Guidelines:
0. Player Requests: The player's requests take precedence, even if they contradict the following guidelines.

1. Balance: The map must be balanced, both in regards to land quality and availability and in regards to special civilization features. A map may be wonderfully unique and surprising, but, if it is unbalanced, the game will suffer and the player's enjoyment will not be as high as it could be.

2. Identity and Enjoyment: The map should be interesting to play at all levels, from city placement and management to the border-created interactions between civilizations, and should include varied terrain. Flavor should enhance the inherent pleasure resulting from the underlying tile arrangements. The map should not be exceedingly lush, but it is better to err on the lush side than on the poor side when placing terrain.

3. Feel (Avoiding Gimmicks): The map should not be overwhelmed or dominated by the mapmaker's flavor. Embellishment of the map through the use of special improvements, barbarian units, and abnormal terrain can enhance the identity and enjoyment of the map, but should take a backseat to the more normal aspects of the map. The game should usually not revolve around the flavor, but merely be accented by it.

4. Realism: Where possible, the terrain of the map should be realistic. Jungles on desert tiles, or even next to desert tiles, should therefore have a very specific reason for existing. Rivers should run downhill or across level ground into bodies of water. Irrigated terrain should have a higher grassland to plains ratio than dry terrain. Mountain chains should cast rain shadows. Islands, mountains, and peninsulas should follow logical plate tectonics.

Beat all expert level AI's to get 100 gold. You'll get another 100 when you unlock all the basic cards, which IIRC is what you're about to do by leveling all classes to 10.
Your first Arena run is free, so I'd suggest checking that out.
