Blah.. moved it into the main MoM folder, still no pictures. Also, the "save" button isn't usable (it never has been, before or after the move).

You can only click Save if you clicked Load first and loaded a save game or another game file.

Something else that I think might work.

1. Start DOSBox without a game in it.
2. Make sure the directory of MoM is accessible from DOSBox (mount the C: drive as explained in the intro).
3. Start MoM from its directory.
4. Now try to connect with the Tweaker.

OK.. trying to mount using:

C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG.com\Master Of Magic

as the file folder, but it keeps telling me that it doesn't exist (i'm using underscore for the spaces)

Try to mount using double quotes, like this:

Z:\> mount C "C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG.com\Master Of Magic"

Good news and bad news!

Good news: it worked and I can see the map and icons now in the tweaker.

Bad news: it took quite a while to load and the game is running much more slowly than before.

edit: tried to play a bit, it's completely unplayable in this mode.

At least we know now what the problem is and how to circumvent it.

In the caption bar it probably shows: "Cpu speed: 3000 cycles". That is an old default that is way too low.
To speed up the game, press Ctrl+F12 repeatedly.
I run it with cycles set to 25000 myself.

I see you have a GOG version.
Apparently they are using DOSBox differently than I am.
I tried to simulate what they might be doing, but no luck - the Tweaker can find the game location each and every time.
At this point I don't know how to find the real problem and fix it since I don't have the GOG version.

Just for future reference, it's a lot easier to rename / move directories for easy mounting. I rename my directory mom and move it to c:\mom which is much easier to type.

Tweaker version 0.2.8 is out!

Changes:

• New Conjure Artifact Dialog (under Tools) that allows you to conjure any of the prefab items.
  
  
• Improved Building Queue Dialog and its optional automatic application.
  - No pop-up at next-turn is shown for a city that was managed.
  - The dialog shows more columns and information.
  - You can manage a city completely from the dialog (change farmers/workers, change production, buy production).
  - The (fixed) building queue has been improved.
  
  
• Added level bonus table with modified code in wizards.exe.
  - Allows to set the bonus for any level for any field.
  - Additionally allows a bonus for the number of shots.
  
  
• Export animations to animated .gif files in LBX editor.
  
  
• Display and export fonts in LBX editor.
  
  
• Improve detection of the actual location of the MoM directory.
  In particular if the mounted directory is not the MoM directory.
  
  
• Updated the prefab ItemData table with spell book requirements and special status.
