I don't think your assessment of MJW is correct. He does plays that I find insane quite often, but in the few last games we played on RB with him involved he did never come across as crazy imo - his ideas and plays yes, but not he himself. He seemed very aware of the situation and how to use it best. Imo he showed pretty good play - not insane ramblings. Therefore I don't think he needs to maintain some "insane persona".
And honestly, I think you should know that.
So why is he a raving lunatic so far today?
Is he a raving lunatic today? I don't think it's even close to that.
“The wind went mute and the trees in the forest stood still. It was time for the last tale.”
I think MJW would be a good target for the loyalty officer. If people are thinking that he is hinting that his ability is " when people target me , I do something".

Well that's where we disagree I suppose. I haven't been able to make any sense of him.

Catwalk has already mentioned this post but the way in which he raised a topic for the lynch and then instantly dismissed it very scummy, as it raises a topic for the lynch (especially a mislynchable) and then dismisses it to remove his own part in it. It is first game however, and this and other posts do point to him being eager to contribute. Still, Old Harry.
On the other hand, he is a trusted officer of Friend Computer...unvote.
I agree, the second post was what made me less suspicious of Harry there, especially after he explained it as his explanation was what I was expecting. However, the initial post felt to me much scummier, and I was surprised no-one but catwalk had picked up on it.

I'm leaning Catwalk currently, as a read-through of the first half of the thread makes him sound very odd to me. For example, his case on Old Harry is extremely grasping at straws, including as it does a criticism of Harry's opening joke post, and his interplay with Lewwyn is also rather odd. I don't think I've played a game with Catwalk before, however, so I'm hesitant to jump to conclusions, especially given how lynchable he looks. Another that I can't help but find scummy is Spacetyrantxenu, but I'm not sure why that is, possibly his meandering writing style is reading like scum fluff. I dunno sorry.
Q, you yourself were voting for Old Harry shortly after Catwalk did, you even cited his reason in your post. Why is his case now grasping at straws when you agreed with him before? (Which as Ichabod said is half of the game, especially so early in it imo.)
I didn't say there wasn't any merit to the case on Old Harry, my problem was in his grasping at straws in order to embellish it into a case. Old Harry's made a couple of weird posts, one of which caused me to vote him for a while, but the case that Catwalk made takes those as a foundation to a full-out case. On review it struck me as very much like what I often do as scum - choose a target who has made a few suspicious moves and then spin everything they've done against them, thus providing a lot of content and reads which help blend you in on a lynch. In particular, as I said above, the part about Old Harry's opening post, which is just ridiculously over-interpreted.
You have a beef with me looking at more than one post and finding a pattern in all of them? I even stressed myself that my assessment was based on a worst case scenario, explaining how it all adds up to fluff. It can certainly be newbie fluff, it can also very certainly be newbie wolf fluff. The last post is what made me lean towards the latter option. What else are we supposed to do one day one if not bring attention to what we perceive as suspicious patterns? Your flip flopping on this matter strikes me as highly suspicious. And I don't understand your definition of blending in, leading the torch on a target is everything but blending in. If anything, more cautious posts like zakalwe's (at the same time as mine) is blending in. We both found Harry suspicious, I got accused for my posts while zakalwe has passed by without suspicion. I'm not saying I find zakalwe suspicious (based on other posts), but that's how I'd voice a suspicion if my objective was to blend in.
Moreover, Harry still hasn't really explained his unmotivated Azarius vote (that I can see, correct me if I'm wrong), and he has been on to respond to these accusations.

I felt like I'd explained it here:

I went through a whole bunch of other posts trying to find something scummy and couldn't (I didn't realise Q was joking until I'd pasted the quote and thought it'd be funnier to leave it in - although now I think of it making jokes in this game can be bad for your health), so I put down my thoughts and voted for someone who hasn't contributed much yet. Should I be trying less on day one?
BTW Catwalk, how can Lewwyn be overreacting if he hasn't called you an imbecile yet?

Just trying to put a good spin on things Catwalk! I'm assuming that Old Harry has been asleep/unavailable, and will be posting again shortly. I agree that we should all be chit-chatting today!
Close - I got drunk, so I'm probably not in a good state for a rebuttal, but here goes...
Catwalk and Q (and Zak I think) - yes my posts have been fluff, but can you point out any in the first hundred that weren't? I thought the point of this game was to let everyone know what you're thinking early on so that the village has the most info available to make decisions on. My justification of my Azarius vote (that he needs to post some more) is consistent with a wish to get info early on:

I guess I could have gone into detail about how posting is good and not posting is bad, but I thought everyone knew that already. It's not a great reason to vote him, but until you guys pointed out how crappy a vote it was it might have got a useful response. :/
I also don't like Catwalk picking on an obvious joke from Gazglum about Mattimeo always being quiet and being the leader (see quote above), but I don't want to OMGUS vote while I'm still finding it hard to focus, so I'll try and figure out if he's just trying really hard to find tells in the morning. Right now I'm finding everyone suspicious, but I can't see any tells that haven't already been pointed out. (I'm even wondering if Ichabod knows I'm an innocent noob and is playing for cover if I get strung up .)

Hi Lewwyn, what step would you like to do?
I'm going to have a read through now to see if I can come up with something that isn't just defence as that's getting tired. I don't think that Catwalk is scum right now, but lets see how I feel in half an hour...
