EITB Game

Since i got knocked out of FFHXXXII (wandering unpromoted Goblin knocked through a 15% fortified warrior) and PBEM 52 is done, i'm looking for a new EITB Game

Anyone willing to join up?

What sort of turn pace are you considering? I think I would prefer to play in a game where the players can commit to a consistent avg of 1t/day. My only other strong preference would be no lairs/huts/features.

Not a sign-up.

However, I would be happy to volunteer my services as a map-maker for this game; I have a 4-player map ready to go which I am quite proud of. If this game does get three other players and you are interested in playing on my map just be aware that, like all my maps, it is hand-drawn and has some flavor added. No Doom Barbs to cripple development or anything like that this time though :P

@Suttree

Looking for 1t/day as well, since that is what i'm willing to promise to nail get at.

@Bob

concerned doom barbs will revolt against their makers and attack you in another game? smile

Hah, actually my concern is that a few games here have collapsed / suffered other issues due to out-of-control preplaced barbs (some of my own maps among them), and I don't want players nor myself to have to go through that sort of aggravation again.

I'd be interested with preferences as those quoted.

Okay, well let me know if you guys want me to be the mapmaker, if so I'll get started on the final edits and soliciting feedback.

Some details:

* The map has lairs, but largely for flavor purposes, and in areas which are unlikely to be accessed for a long time, certainly not before turn 100.

* There are huts, but it's no problem to just delete them.

* I have pre-placed some, but not all unique features. I can remove these, but I'm not sure it's necessary- almost all of the features anywhere near the player starts are of the weaker varieties and mostly just to add a little visual detail. I think I might delete most of the in the final edit anyway, or move them even further from the player starts, based on some feedback from Qg.

* The map is Standard-sized, so three cities for Kurios. I don't want to get too much into spoilers regarding the land- there isn't enough for vast empires, but it's not knife-fight distances or cramped either. It is balanced.

* Qg has recommended banning the Lanun and Tsunami. I agree.

* Difficulty should be set to Immortal. Raging Barbs would be a viable option as well. The map is Flat, so maintenance is much less than usual. You could probably even play Deity.

I think that's most of the salient points, of course let me know if you have any questions. If the above sounds fine, give me the go-ahead and I'll try to have the game up by Monday.

Bob - HK is away until Sunday. I'll let Sian take the lead here, since he proposed the game.
