If his role is what he's claiming, I really doubt BRick would inform if he used his role or not. I think he'd only see the night results. As as my experience goes, the only roles that receive a PM to show if they were successful or not are investigative roles. Besides, Paranoia could very well be a watcher ability. But, the name also suits very well with the role Catwalk claimed. Ergo, it was the perfect preemptive role to claim - suits your role name, explains why you can kill (this leads to another questioning: did the mafia know that there was a role name seer? Maybe Qgqqq discovered it on day 1!). If this is true, than Ryan is innocent. Why? Because scum Catwalk wouldn't need to claim his role if the kill seer was also scum. You know, I rather lynch Catwalk than Ryan. For roles sake, mostly.
And c'mon! Why would Catwalk claim his role preemptively? He essentialy made his role useless, if he's a villager. I admit that his role suck from most angles you look at it. But if it hits, it has a good chance of hitting scum (remember, at that time we didn't know about the village SKs), which is an awesome result. His action makes more sense as scum than as village, if you look at the possible results coming from it, comapred to a later claim.

Ichabod, keep in mind that we very certainly have a least 2 scum-factions. So Ryan and catwalk could both be scum, despite catwalk thinking he has to claim because of the kill-seer. Also his claim could also have happened despite him being town in thinking that it would be the better way to do it. He didn't initially explain how his ability worked at all either.
OTOH he did claim to be a killer and I have to admit, with his ability I would not have seen myself as such. I would even expect that a scan should give back negative as he is not killing, he is more or less just reflecting back, according to his words. Lastly, I agree with you that he has to explain why he believes that he would be informed if MJW had visited him. That was asked earlier already but he never answered it.
