You are also our new Equipment Guy.
Yep, sorry, not a feel-bad-for-me-excuse, but the weekend plus my Hearthstone injury (!) kept me from being remotely up to date. I'll make sure to give out an item.

Catwalk
I feel like this is being way over-thought. Space's power seems likely confirmed, he claims to have catwalk caught in a lie, and there isn't much pointing to Catwalk's innocence.
My emotional reaction to that makes me think Catwalk is scum a bit more, since I read things as him being accused and then taking some time get get arguments made in his defense. Now that said some of the people arguing in his favor read town or very town to me, and I guess theoretically this could be some scum end-game gambit, but said gambit would come very early in the turn, with minimal other pressure on scum-space, and anyways I still think there's a third faction out there and so victory for any side is a way's off.
PS - I'm very surprised and a little bummed to be wrong about Rowain. Though I'm not as sad that he's out of the game if some town had to be Perhaps he'll be revealed as part of another hidden faction once the game ends.

Quick hint: if you're town, you know, 100% that xenu is a lying communist scum. Attempting to get anyone else lynched is utterly terrible play.
On the other hand, if you're scum, really anything goes - delaying the showdown for a day could bring it to LyLo, especially if we pick wrong of the three 'random' names you've supplied as an alternative.

With you set against me and Serdoa just wanting the pain to end one way or another, I think I'm likely to hang tonight if Serdoa changes his mind again on a whim. I think we have enough suspicious players that there are good alternatives to choose from, and I'm hoping there's a chance we can uncover evidence either through that or during the night which will vindicate me. Qg stands out to me, as he's only come out of the bushes once the talk of a compromise candidate started. He seems happy to bus Xenu and ride to victory later on town cred.
Now that's just so scummy it's not even funny any more.
Your deflecting arguments *really* aren't helping me not want to lynch you here...

Always, somewhere,
someone is fighting for you.

Yeah, reiterating that I think that Catwalk is a better lynch than Space. As frustrating as I is to be falsely seer-accussed (like I was in the hidden names game), his reaction. Was quite unlike mine, with trying to delay a turn and lynch a third party. I just wanted the village to lynch Pindicator after I died. Now, obviously, the situation is a little different, and different people react in different ways, but that combined with knowing that Catwalk can kill (and not liking his claimed role power; if it's real, it was weirdly designed), I think that Catwalk is a better lynch that Spacetyrantxenu. In addition, while Xenu has been incredibly scummy all game, I still think that people cleared Catwalk too early from his Day One interactions with Q.
Merovech's Mapmaking Guidelines:
0. Player Requests: The player's requests take precedence, even if they contradict the following guidelines.
1. Balance: The map must be balanced, both in regards to land quality and availability and in regards to special civilization features. A map may be wonderfully unique and surprising, but, if it is unbalanced, the game will suffer and the player's enjoyment will not be as high as it could be.
2. Identity and Enjoyment: The map should be interesting to play at all levels, from city placement and management to the border-created interactions between civilizations, and should include varied terrain. Flavor should enhance the inherent pleasure resulting from the underlying tile arrangements. The map should not be exceedingly lush, but it is better to err on the lush side than on the poor side when placing terrain.
3. Feel (Avoiding Gimmicks): The map should not be overwhelmed or dominated by the mapmaker's flavor. Embellishment of the map through the use of special improvements, barbarian units, and abnormal terrain can enhance the identity and enjoyment of the map, but should take a backseat to the more normal aspects of the map. The game should usually not revolve around the flavor, but merely be accented by it.
4. Realism: Where possible, the terrain of the map should be realistic. Jungles on desert tiles, or even next to desert tiles, should therefore have a very specific reason for existing. Rivers should run downhill or across level ground into bodies of water. Irrigated terrain should have a higher grassland to plains ratio than dry terrain. Mountain chains should cast rain shadows. Islands, mountains, and peninsulas should follow logical plate tectonics.

I could reply again, but this he said/he said argument is just us spinning wheels now. We're in an intractable situation of your word versus mine, which makes me think my role really is completely useless. If I can't even convict someone when what they say obviously disagrees with what the GM reveals, even when we're reasonably sure there's no redirection going on, I can't imagine how else my role was supposed to have been used. It just seems pointless. If I die today and you survive this, there's no justice in this game. Getting caught in a lie should be a slam dunk scum lynch. If you somehow aren't scum, why why why would you lie???
Quote:I believe your track record, but it means nothing. You used it to establish that you had an ability, then set up a mislynch on me.
Or...I the track record shows what it shows, that I wasn't lying before. Because I wasn't trying to lie. But again in circles we go.
Quote:Why would I reveal all details of my ability right away when doing so gives communists information I don't want them to have? It's standard play to not reveal more than you have to, I was even asked not to reveal the rest of my role. I then made a full reveal later on when requested.
That's probably a fair response, I don't pretend to know everything about standard play or what's not standard.
Quote:My proof is that you fabricated a night result against me.
I just reported what was in the PM. Obviously this means Brick is the scum and should be lynched. Is that the third option you wanted?
Quote:Neither one of us has proof we can share. I know you're lying, and you're obviously going to stick with your story.
Yeah, that's the shame of it, isn't it? Do we get to reveal PMs after the game is over? I'll be glad to show it to you then. If you do succeed in mislynching me, I'd be glad to reveal that PM as my posthumous message, but I expect that wouldn't be allowed by the rules either.
Quote:Why do you disagree that my role is powerful in the end game, though?
Assuming you're not scum (which I don't believe since Brick's PM, but for the sake of this argument I will answer as if I did): Because the commies don't have to kill everyone to win, they just need to have a tie in players remaining alive (*if whoever's point about Matt's team leader role being removed at lylo is correct). They can ignore you completely and just never target you, which is I assume what they would have done ever since you invented the fake role flavor saying it would be bad for their health if they were to target you for a kill. On the off chance you weren't lying about that too, they'd surely choose to ignore you and keep killing other people, right? So on that count it would have been a good fake claim if it keeps you from being a target. Under this scenario, though, I'd describe your eminently self-preservation based behavior as more likely to befit a lone wolf kind of solo serial killer rather than town. As far as that goes, I think your odds of faction go: communist --> third (er, 4th) party --> town. I just don't see how you've helped the town. But, snap back to reality, I don't think you're a lone wolf, I just find that more plausible than you being town at this point. I think you're a Red.
Quote:As for your last post, you would have been blown out of the water if you'd tried to pin this on a villager with town cred. I concede that you picked a good target gambit, and I hope it won't work for you. I have to run off, I hope I will live to see tomorrow.
I didn't pick the target to pin anything on. I chose to scan your role last night because of your confirmed kill power, and the PM reply from Brick made you my target today by merit of your own words not matching the reveal notification. I will admit to have tried lynching you on day one (or was it called day zero?) because of the way your posting seemed overly aggressive based on nothing in particular. But once the game really started and we had actual information to make decisions from, I dropped you from my list of candidates because you didn't stand out as suspicious, based on the information we had. So my accusation today is not based on some old witch hunt from the early game, it's purely a result of last night's scan and GM reply. I'm not grinding an axe, I'm just making a case. It's too bad I don't have a way to make this any clearer for voters, this one should really be easy. I was wrong about Rowain when I attacked him for acting all kinds of suspicious, but this time I have actual evidence in the form of a GM reply that shows Catwalk lied. He'd have no reason for lying (other than just really, REALLY not paying attention to what he was writing) except to hide his alignment.
Preview edit: crossposted a few more but don't see anything else to reply to, except to ask Sunrise how it's possible to get hurt playing a game...?
