[SPOILERS] Tholal plays in the woods

Turn 34: Well I certainly wasn't expecting to see this guy enter my borders!

He could have attacked the Worker this past turn but didnt. Not sure what that means, but it's a bit disconcerting! Especially since he's lurking around my city site!

Herald moved to the Southwest, perhaps pursuing my Scout.

Settler done in two turns.

Turn 37:

The Herald is just kind of circling my borders. Not sure what it's up to.

Second city will be founded next turn. Met the Doviello to the north and the Amurites to the south. I'll try to get a map up next turn.

Turn 42: Herald moved back out of my borders this turn. I finished an extra Warrior anyway just in case.

Turn 50: Bob points out that the Shades will take forever to rescue and are just costing maintenance. He says that he deleted his. He's probably right. I can't even move onto the tile due to the Burning Sands.

Turn 56:

Third city founded.

Bob claims he has four now. He also likes to keep mentioning his Shock Bloodpets in chat.

Black Sword seems to be considering an assault on Herald in-between us.

Presumably he's interested in pillaging the Village. I thought about that myself, but I'm not sure the troop loss is worth it at the moment. I'm going to need to keep some eyes on the Doviello. Not only to make sure he doesn't sneak attack me, but also because I'm considering a Scout rush on him!

Here's my City Overview screen.

Still haven't met the Amurites or the Sheaim.

Turn 57: Maybe those troops were on the way to me after all. He moved the Scout and Beastman in closer and now has another Beastman and a Worker following. Though if he wants to attack, I'm not sure why he didn't already. He could have captured a Worker with his Scout this turn and upgraded it to a Beastman.

Moving my forces in that direction and switching to War production. I can 1-turn Scouts or Warriors in my capital.

Turn 86: Currently being overrun by the Doviello. They havent even used their Worldspell yet. Just abandoned my capital rather than give them free experience.

I've made a number of tactical mistakes, the most recent being that I didn't position my troops to pillage my own improvements that I lost control of when my capital was captured. That's just going to give the Doviello a bunch of gold to upgrade their troops with. Two turns until I finish Hunting research, though I think it's much too late for that to help. frown

Turn 87: Abandoning another city to the Doviello hordes this turn. I would have lost it to the Barbarians next turn anyway. The barbs have a stack of 4 Combat II warriors at the gates and another 2 behind that. Probably should have let the barbs take it last turn to deny it to my foe, but I did get another Scout built from it.

GNP took a major hit. Hunting is now 4 turns... assuming I can get ~20 pillage gold per turn. Managed to kill a Beastman and retreat into the woods. I could be making all sorts of hit and run strikes if I could ever get decent odds. But my Sinister Scouts just aren't cutting it against the Bronze-equipped, Combat II + Beastmen (I see only two Sons of Asena so far). Even if I do finish Hunting, I'm not sure that I'll have the time to build a Lodge. We'll see...
