Boring turn, this is our army now, I think we need to stop drafting soon, at which point a few turns of Bureacracy will improve the tech rate. Pindicooter are a bit low on cash, but we could hit them up for another gift in three or four turns to get us to Curassiers early.
Frustratingly Mack is making more power from his workshops than we can with drafting. Probably cannons.

Looks like Pindicooter took a city off Mack last night. Interesting...
If they can force him to defend his coast and islands we might make inroads (or more likely just survive a bit longer.)

Turn 177 preamble
Excitingly Pindicooter took a second city from Mack... Looks like they didn't need to make all that fuss in the tech thread after all!
We can get our great person from Cannae in two turns at the cost of starving one pop, or in three turns with no cost. Stupid blockade. At this point I don't think having the golden age a turn earlier helps particularly does it?
This turn we'll draft Dunkirk, France, Midway and Nuremburg. Next turn it'll be Cannae, Konig, Issy and somewhere else before switching to Bureau. I think we want to stick with Pacifism for the next set of five turns too, as the golden age is a good time for great people.
Looks like we have to abandon Barca this turn (should really have pillaged the road on his tile, but he'd just have combat roaded it back). I guess he'll raze it since it's indefensible for both of us, but lets see what happens.
Finally I asked Pindicooter for another 200 gold - it might get us MT a turn earlier, so I thought it was worth asking. I'll play in a couple of hours, so if you have any comments give me a shout.

Quick comments:
- Starving Cannae does not seem worth it.
- What defenders do you plan to leave in Barca? At least couple of units so that mack needs to waste cats/cannons? Can we somehow starve the city for 1 pop?
- Can you organize a counter-attack stack in position so that if mack takes the city with too little stack we could kill his units with reasonable ratio?

Okay, Cannae won't starve and Barcelona will probably fall next turn. We're just running Artists in the city so if Mack doesn't attack we get closer to owning that tile. I left three Muskets, a pike and an axe in there, we'll see how that goes. If he does raze it I think we should re-settle 1N...
We're third in power in the game now, if only we had a technologically backward neighbour or a safe border so we could concentrate that power to do some damage (Ichabod has single ancient units in 8 of his northern cities ). I guess Pindicooter must be rivaling Mackoti for top power. Should we offer white peace to Mack or does having him at war on two fronts help us?

Sure, try for white peace (or for a small price). If we get 10 turns of peace let's try to shuffle the deck in the north. Btw, let's not generally even consider peace deals where we lose cities unless they are very concreately threatened and doomed. Mack or anybody should slug slowly through our culture and pay with blood for every single city we eventually lose. Btw, how are our defenses in Jamestown? Can we handle a surprise ambi-attack?
EDIT: It seems we lost Ichabod's graphs. He used to be the top power so I would imagine he is still no.2 or did he lose so much to William?

Omdurman (due to produce great person next turn) or
Stalingrad and Barcelona
I haven't simmed it but I'll be surprised if Om can hold out against the three cannons, two jans, mace and three knights Mack just dropped off.
Edit: We have five muskets, two knights, an axe and two longbows as well as one catapult and we can draft another musket this turn. If we delay Bureau we could draft again next turn and get more muskets in from Nuremburg and France.

Quick comment: That does not sound like enough hitters to me (although it sounds still a bit costly for us)! Delay Buro and draft one extra round on the island? No freebies!
Disclaimer: As you know, I haven't logged in to see it yet and haven't thus really analyzed the situation.. That's just more my attitude..
