IND + PHI = Wonders + GPs = Cultural Victory. Settled in place, but regretted it instantly: itâs insanely overfed, and will surely go Legendary aeons before the Other Two. Oh well. Hinduism founded in 3560BC. If settling in place was a bad decision, then bad luck soon came calling: by 3040BC Iâd lost both scouting units to barb animals (one at 22.3%, the other at 23.1%). This jiggered my plans for fogbusting, so Stonehenge got put on the backburner, and eventually forgotten. I decided a fun use of the trait combo would be the Oracle-MC-GE-Insta-Mids combo, soâ¦
The GE built the Pyramids in BC750, and before that Confu founded in Bombay in 950BC. Zara had Alphabet in BC500, so got it from him for MC, and proceeded to get Mono & Medi from Liz to allow a switch to REP & OR (though I havenât yet adopted a religion), and open up Philo & Taoism. 1AD overview: Kudos to Liz for the Water-Wonders, but overall not that many Wonders have fallen so far, so Iâll try to land some. Or maybe not: Meh. Not what Mr. Peaceful Builder was looking for⦠Overloading on pics right now, but this one gives plenty of info: So much for keeping Taoism out of the AIâs hands, though Iâve only myself to blame: I traded Zara CoL in 1AD Liz gets a Great Artistâ¦hmmmm..thatâs pretty early for Music on Monarch. Though I was producing the odd unit or two, I nevertheless snagged HG in 350 (Delhi), and MoM in 475(Vijay). Got to Music in 740 and GEâd it in Vijay. Monty had ended up attacking Mansa, but when Zara went into WHEOOH in AD800 I decided to be cautious and not sandbag Liberalism for Democracy, but to grab Nationalism ASAP. This allowed me to trade in Guilds & Engineering from Mansa for Edu & Music, and to switch off research to stockpile cash. Had a 50-50 chance of a GE the turn after starting Taj, and he duly arrived. Used the 12 turn GA to switch to Free Speech. Stuck with OR for a bit to help Wonder production: Ankgor in Vijay in 1020, Notre Dame de Dehli in 1040. 1050AD brings yet more good news: Zara is out of WHEOOH. Get a 38% GE in 1100 who rushes Hermitage in Bombay the following turn. Get an even lower odds GE in 1200, and sit on him for a while before deciding on another GA. Realise in 1400AD that Iâd forgotten to revolt to Pacifism. Ooops. Zaraâs missionary zeal (and some of my own) meant that nearly all my cities were Taoist as well as Hindu & Confu, so a defensive switch to Taoism was made the same turn. Tech brokering & REP beakers meant I was able to progress a long way down the tree, ending up with Biology & Rifling before the end of the game. With all its surplus food, Delhi had become my artist farm, and, after the low-ish odds GE of 1200AD, all my subsequent GPs had been Artists. Unfortunately, I had one too few and ended up with a 6 turn lag between city 2 and 3 going legendary Iâd also stockpiled too much cash: I didnât run lower than 1.5k, which is clearly too much of a cushion. In foreign news, Monty had finally made peace with Mansa in 1575AD. Can you guess what happened next, gentle reader? Of course you can: Sadly for Monty, heâs too late: I will win in 1635AD, and the poor dear wonât even be able to take a city as the nearest one is three turns march away Postscript. A peaceful builder I may be, but sometimes itâs fun to remind Monty of the price for choosing unwisely:
Nice early win, considering some of the early misfortune . No Theology though, I would think Sistine Chapel is high on the list?

Thanks Swiss for the report. Had to laugh at your 'settled in place and instantly regretted it' comment .
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.
