I'd rather someone crap took over for ichabod, but if Krill is the only option that's fine. Did ichabod ever post in civ general looking for a replacement?

So, a game where Krill and Mackoti are your closest neighbours? Might as well have all the excuses lined up!

Before new turn, quick thoughts about Krill possibly subbing for Ichabod:
- Ichabod still has considerable military and production power (read: relevance in the game), probably too much for a spoiled lurker to take over
- If Krill would take over and decide to go for a new strategy involving military targets, there is a fair possibility that either WilliamLP or we get problems (the other one possibly benefits)
- Krill has followed our thread at least occasionally so he is pretty well aware of how we see the global situation, what resources we do have available and that we don't consider attacking Ichabod beneficial. Most of this info is probably fairly obvious, but there is always a difference between knowing something for certain and being 99 % sure of it
---> Consequently, I don't think that Ichabod is yet weak enough so that a spoiled lurker could take over without problems. Unspoiled lurker would obviously be no problem.
That said, I think it's of course a huge pity that Ichabod (understandably) does not have fun with the game anymore. I think it would be fine if Krill plays some turns for Ichabod and keeps things going, but as said, taking full control and setting new targets/priorities for Greece is more problematic.

Turn 225
Played again pretty quickly. That's probably a sign that it would do good for our civ if OH has time to play a turn or two in the near future.. :P
Anyways, interesting stuff happening!
I think this will probably put stop to the discussion whether Krill should sub for Ichabod. I can't imagine WilliamLP liking the idea.. Anyways, let's hope that Ichabod puts some kind of effort into defending/counter-attacking even if collapsing to WilliamLP could be good for us. Did our iron-for-iron offer make this happen? I doubt, but who knows..
I started moving "Lunch" back to this front. We need to consider running some EPs against Ichabod if we want to be able to see possible power drops.
In the south there are interesting movements by mackoti:
Last turn there we more Galleons and more units here. Mack has moved a sizeable stack into Gerard (the one that was zone-defending him against our attack). So is he finally going east? Attack scooter? Attack Azza? Is this a decoy that leads to a huge invasion at Jamestown?
I revolted into Theocracy so we are finally finishing units again. Some of them were already pretty close to start decoying:
EDIT: Note dtay's worker roading towards us. That made me put more units into Light Brigade.
Our capital looks more pretty with Wall Street:
Let's grow it to size 20 now and then start working again awesome specialists instead of weak coast.
Jamestown also likes its new Levee. Should it be producing Cavalry or Cannons (or Rifles)?
5th place in GNP is actually better than what we are used to seeing when being in gold-saving mode:
As said before, Theocracy will make this graph look better again:

I can't wait for our power graph next turn.
I don't see an obvious way of taking advantage of William joining in, we need airships rather than EPs to let us see what is going on. Perhaps we could hold a city on the eastern tip of Ichabod's empire?
Is there any way of suckering dtay into attacking us over land in a way that lets us destroy his stack and counterattack? He's got his scouts in our territory again, so I'm not sure how easy it'd be to misinform him, but if we got close to railroad, so that it can be completed in a turn perhaps we could do something surprising.

Hey, William took another four cities this turn... What do we do about it? Some options:
1. Switch our EPs to William
2. Offer peace or cease fire so that 2Metra can put up a decent fight
3. Offer map trade to William
4. Unload an army somewhere 2metra won't mind and where William won't see it, then when he's finished doing all the fighting for us and has taken all 2metra's cities we destroy William's remaining stacks with cannons, rifles, cavalry and airships and sweep through capturing all the revolting cities with our 2-movers before then splitting William's core with Plako, then expanding to be the biggest civ in the game, swallowing Mack and dtay and winning a space race on t310
Obviously I like option four the best - but it depends if we can spare a large enough army. These aren't exclusive, so we could get a cease fire and open borders with 2Metra to allow us to pounce on William's stack (if 2Metra is dumb enough to accept a cease fire, which he probably isn't.)
Any other options I missed?

Logged in to check the cities and dtay has offered Iron for Iron while Commodore offers Iron and Horse for Coal and Iron. I declined both and re-offered. Commodore gifted us two Airships - is he attacking soon? They've both got no movement points left, so we can use them next turn, and they are both out of sight of dtay, on opposite sides of our empire.
My guess is that he's saying we should take dtay's island and the cities around Jamestown while he comes in from the other side. We could use the airships to give us visibility over those areas next turn, but I think a more useful use of the eastern one would be to go check what Commodore's army is up to by flying into Ottawa and then checking up on his border area with dtay... Bear in mind that dtay can now draft infantry (he got four this turn) and has cheap Kannone, so may actually be planning to attack us and Commodore is just trying to warn us. If that's the case then we could go 100% research to get Assembly line in five turns to draft our own Infantry or Phyics/Artillery in ten turns for cannon upgrades. My vote is for Assembly Line and some drafting. Also for building some Ironclads to defend our island.
Back to our other potential war, and William has now taken the four cities on the border, a couple of which were pretty big. I don't think we want to get involved for a few more turns, lets let William do the heavy lifting for now. Depending on what dtay is up to we can just stay at war here and surreptitiously shuffle our units back to defend the mainland.
I left all the cities that had finished producing stuff on Wealth BTW.

Wow, what a chaos this game is. There is stuff happening! After OH's report mack declared war on Azza.
So, which way should we be looking?
1. Ichabod/2metra?
- As OH reported, WilliamLP took more cities this turn
- Ichabod still has lots of firepower so if 2metra knows what he is doing, he should be able to make that war painful for WilliamLP. We see a fair few of 2metra units thank to our ships and quite many of them are still away from the front so I'm a little bit confused here..
- We need to be keeping an eye on WilliamLP's WW and new GGs so that we notice immediately if there is a huge battle. Before that landing an invasion force is not too attractive..
- Dtay's iron-for-iron offer could well be an attack invitation to pile on Ichabod, but it also could be an attempt to fool us..
- I'm finishing couple of galleons in coming turns so if things start looking really attractive we can be opportunistic
2. Mackstabbing?
- Mackoti seems to be transporting quite a few units towards east which opens some opportunities
- However, he still has a fair few units near our borders
- And a huge MFG, which means a lot of infantries and other stuff if we are too bold
- And there is always dtay in the north who would not say no to free land..
3. Dtay?
- So is commodore really coming in and attacking? What should we make out of his diplo messages and Airship gifts (which are awesome)
- Could we backstab dtay while he attacks 2metra/Ichabod?
I'm not such a big GoT fan, but I could not help noticing that their screenwriters have been lurking our PB13 thread:
We are going to chat with OH regarding where we put our chips and we also need to decide which tech path we choose. This turn it's still ok to save some money, but next turn I would like to start spending it..

That they obviously got the inspiration for that clip by lurking our endless struggle and desparate climb here..
And yeah, we indeed seem to have way more opportunities than what I imagined 75 turns ago that we would have in this phase of the game. Those are all kind of long shots and not moves that would get us really into game, but hey, at least there is something that we maybe could try...
